Photo Walk Description

Note: The Official Worldwide Photo Walk Date is July 24th, 2010

I hope you can join us for a walk through downtown Vienna. We have lots to shoot including a baseball field, fire department, beautiful flower gardens, and a farmers market. Afterwards we’ll catch a great slice of pizza and relax and catch up.

Be sure to wear comfortable shoes, you’ll also want to bring a macro lens if you have one. Lots to see and fun to be had.

My name is Richard Harrington, I am an author and podcaster, as well as an instructor for Kelby Training.

  • Looking forward to the Photo Walk

    Looking forward to tomorrow…. The good news… 5% chance of precipitation. The bad news… we’ve been transported to a desert.

    PLEASE BRING A WATER BOTTLE

    As far as lenses go… we’ll be shooting all sorts of things. There’s some great opportunities to go tight on flowers and the Farmer’s Market, so consider a macro lens.
    There’s also a lot of other things, a fire station, architecture, sporting events… so bring a few flexible lenses.

    If you are running late, we’ve attached a map to help you find us along the route.
    Afterwards, its lunch at Church Street Pizza (pizza by the slice… it’s affordable).

    See you tomorrow…. dress lightly and bring a hat.

    3. Lenses… your call… there are some great flowers and details… so a macro can come in handy. There will also be sports, architecture, and lots of activity.

    I did this walk with you last year Richard… captured some great images. Looking forward to it again. Hot last year, and will be even hotter this year… that ice cream store is going to look awfully inviting if it’s still there. Cheers. See you tomorrow.

    Richard, this is my first walk and had a great time meeting everyone and taking picture around the Vienna area. Even though it was blistering hot, it was great fun. Now that I have finished the walk, is there a place where I can upload some of the images I took while there? I tried to contact you by Email but I keep getting the mail back for some reason. I did contact you before the walk and you said for me to come on and join your group. But, I noticed that my name was not on your list, so I assumed that I didn’t get your Email telling about the Flickr account I should upload to. Is it possible to get that now?

    Thanks you for leading the walk and for sending any information I might need.
