Photo Walk Description
Be ready for a fun time with the newest “Photoshop Guy.” We will meet at the Henry Plant museum and make a circuit over the river and back taking advantage of the myriad of things to shoot in the area. Sunset for that day will be 7:16 so you will be able to figure out where you want to be for the golden light. Mine will be much better than Scott’s especially since his is full and mine is brand new!
We will gather for food afterwards at a place I figure out… checking with RC for the best food places since he seems to know all the good spots. Great time to network and have fun and hopefully get some spectacular shots.
Remember to bring your comfy shoes, water to drink and a good tripod if you are going to shoot buildings…hdr…etc. Many of you have probably shot in this area, so come planning to shoot in a new way… if you always shoot telephoto…try wide angle. If you shoot landscapes… perhaps people. If you shoot HDR… maybe try macro. Let this be a time of discovery. If you haven’t shot in this area then you are in for a treat. The campus of the University of Tampa has some great buildings, then there are the two bridges and the waterfront… it is a smorgasbord of visual delight. (Ok, maybe I am trying to sell it too hard there…bottom line it has great stuff to shoot.)

I signed up for your photowalk on 8/7 but got no response or confirmation. Do you have me registered? Judy Lipton. Auburndale. FL
filled out all the info but then the screen disappeared – will enter it again so you may get a duplication
Looking forward to the walk….I am a pro and have shot in this area before, but there are always new things to try and I am sure I will learn the secrets of the universe while we walk and shoot….Yours, Willy
Oh you will learn things you never imagined! Most of which will be rubbish and the rest will be pure frivolousness!
I’m a BEginner! Looking forward to learning from you all!
So glad to have you join us!
Judy, you are on the list and so are you Mo… sorry for the confusion.
This is my first “Photo Walk” ever, I’m a passionate and “temporary” amateur, working on becoming stronger everyday. I am very excited about this walk and the new things I will learn and fellow photographers to meet!
Hi, I’m Ernie, Norma’s husband and I know how to spell “camra”..oops, “Camera”…and that’s about it! Be gentle!!!
Ernie and Norma, we are so excited to have you joining us… we will all try to be gentle as we make fun of your spelling throughout the day… other than that, you should have a great time!
This will be mine and my wife’s first Photowalk. The earlier ones always seem to be in conflict with my son’s Bowling Tournaments. So glad we go signed up and looking forward to meeting everyone and learning tons.
Just signed up for your walk, my sister will be signing up also. This will be our first walk and we are very excited to be joining your group.
Sister is signed up as well now!

Pete, So sorry but My sister and I will not be able to attend your work due to a work conflict. Hopefully next year. Sounds like it would be lots of fun. We are going to sign up on another one for the morning. Hope you have a great day!
Lynn Pointer and Tina Manus
Wow – I’ve been trying to leave messages but they won’t post! How about Bamboozle for supper?
Since I’m such a beginner, do I just grab my camera and a lens, or do people bring their bags, tripods, etc? Where exactly are we meeting?
Lynne – according info on top of this page,we have meeting point next to Henry Plant Museum or 401 Kennedy Blvd. You can bring whatever equipment You wish.Do not look at others
.People come with point and shoot cameras or Canon 7D and 3 lenses(like me:).
See You soon.
So nice to meet you and chat with you, Wojtek! I look forward to seeing your photos!
I’m looking forward to walking with you tomorrow, Pete! I haven’t shot the University of Tampa yet so thanks for picking this spot. I’ve been wanting to check it out!
I signed up as well and only just realized I hadn’t received confirmation. Rather late…sorry.
I had a fabulous time – can’t wait to do it again next year!
Thanks Pete and 2 Your leeches (RC and Brad)
)))) You, guys, made this walk unique, funny, unpredictable and unforgettable. We had great captain and great crew. I wait for info about posting pictures for contest and on Flickr.
Greetings………….Wojtek
Great to have you guys! I posted an update up above about the Flickr group… http://bit.ly/qyuINT,
I just uploaded my picture for contest. Everything is fine, but can I see photos submitted by other Walkers ?
I uploaded my photo earlier today but the “View Full Size” option does not work.
I’d like to check it before my time is up!
Hello Lynne! I have no problem. What browser do You use ? Don’t You have any program installed ,that prevent to pop up a separate window?
Hi Wojtec! I use IE 8. No pop-up blocker. I still can’t see the whole image. We are abandoned here it seems. No one is reading this page any longer!
Sorry Lynne, I did abandon you… my fault. I know that we have been having server issues and that may have caused problems with your upload. I am seeing it fine on this end and you guys will be able to see all the entries soon. I am still trying to talk to the guys about a few people that are having login and uploading issues. Definitely not my area of expertise.
I will try to post something here as soon as I find out.
Thank you for your patience.
Congratulations to Joe.Very good picture with contrast between shapes, colors and moods.
On the right is almost gray, flat, cold area and on the left we see warm, postcard quality, city landscape. This is something like beauty and the beast
