Photo Walk Description

Up to 50 photographers of every skill degree are invited to join leaders Luis Noble, photo editor of the Sulphur Springs News-Telegram, and Cindy Roller, editor of the Cooper Review, for a two-hour photo walk held on the downtown square in conjunction with the Sulphur Springs Downtown Business Alliance. The walk is a chance to let your photographic aspirations fly, letting you show us and the world historic downtown Sulphur Springs through your artistic eye.

All you need is a camera and the ambition to enter Scott Kelby’s Worldwide Photo Walk. The walk will give you a chance to share your creativity with and get tips from fellow local photographers, as well as a chance to win a worldwide prize – for free!

    Hey, everybody.

    Thank you so very much for making the photo walk a success. I had a great time meeting and walking with all of you and I hope each of you did, too.

    I know it is really difficult to find your single best photograph from the day, but I promise you will have a gut feeling about the one you pick – that’s always what happens when I pick one for the newspaper. Our deadline is Monday, so please get your single best shot in at this website AND sent at its highest resolution to ssphotowalks@gmail.com .

    As for all those other great shots you got Saturday, if you would like to share them with everyone you can upload them to our Flickr Group I created today.

    At the site, you can sign in with a Google or Yahoo account (or even your Facebook) to start your own Flicr, where you can upload your photos and share them with all of us by adding them to the “group pool.”I’ve already uploaded a few to the pool, if you’re curious to see how the photos work. The Flickr group is totally optional, but I hope you’ll share your images with us.

  • Walk is this Saturday

    Hey, SS Photo Walkers.
    We still have more than 30 spots available, so invite your friends. The walk begins at 9 a.m. Saturday, but please try to be at Plain N Fancy by 8:30 a.m.
    We have added an exciting venue to the photo walk this year: the Indian Summer celebration and John Chester Dutch Oven Cooking Competition held at Heritage Park. First United Methodist Church has gracefully lent us their bus to ferry us to and from the park from the downtown square. We will all head over to the park during the second hour of the photo walk, roughly at 10 a.m.

    I cant wait .very excited! last year was fun and i think this year will be even better!
    Can we use our own vehicle to go to and from the park?

      Absolutely. Just as long as you’re with us at the same time we get there and finish, because if we choose your photo for the win and it is taken away from the walk group it will unfortunately be disqualified. Thanks!

    I tried to sign-up myself and my wife. However, the site wouldn’t allow me to sign up saying every e-mail address and every user name I gave already existed. I finally gave up. We would still like to participate.

      I have two entries for you, but they are both under your name. I don’t know if you can fic that, but you definitely have the right amount of entries.
