Photo Walk Description

We will walk from the highly disputed construction site at the train station up through the Königstrasse, photographing some of Stuttgart’s most attractive sights on the way. We will also see some hidden delights along the way.
Whether you want to bring your super wide-angle or your telephoto lens, you will have the opportunity to capture life at the heart of the city. Even on a Sunday, the main shopping district is full of life: street musicians, groups of window-shoppers, tourists and many others.
I’ve walked this route hundreds of times and always found interesting motifs to photograph.

  • The times they are NOT a-changin'

We will keep with the 17-1900 o’clock times as planned. The light is looking really good at those times now.

Wir werden die Uhrzeit für den Beginn des Walks wie geplannt um 17 Uhr beibehalten. Das Licht in der Stadt ist zwischen 17-19 Uhr z.Z. ganz gut.

  • Zeiten ändern? Change in times?

I am thinking about changing the times to 4-6 pm. Then we would have more light – but not evening light. What do you think about that?

Hätte jemand etwas dagegen, wenn wir die Uhrzeiten um eine Stunde nach vorne verschieben würden? So hätten wir, wenn kein so schönes Abendlicht, mehr Sonnenlicht.

The Google Map doesn’t look very good. What I wanted to do was let you know that we are basically headed through the center of town but the side streets are also interesting!

  2. Andy Dogaru says:

No problem with that – want I want to add is that on the 2nd October the sun set hour is 07:00 PM, so maybe the tripod is a must have.

Exactly, Andy. I checked that out, too. Last year, we walked from 18-20.00
and saw a wonderful sunset from the top of a church tower.
I plan for us to get some nice shots of the Johanneskirche at the Feuersee at 19.00.
I think the light will be nice then. Please feel free to bring a tripod, though.
You will have the opportunity to set it up in town. When you are walking with
20 other photographers, nobody asks questions.
