Photo Walk Description
Hi!
The 4th Annual Scott Kelby Worldwide Photo Walk is here. We will be walking in St Albans, Hertfordshire.
Please come and join me in taking some amazing photos (and you might win Scott’s book!)
I will be updating this page as soon as I will confirm all the details, but please make sure to sign up now to secure your place
I’m looking forward to see you there!
Seb

As I’m local I’d like to register my interest in this walk. Any further details will be duly noted.
Hi Will,
It will be great to see you there!
More details will be available soon
Cheers,
Seb
Def interested in this…please let me have more details as soon as you have them
Hi Tezz, it would be great to see you there. I will post all the details next week.
Can’t wait to meet you all!
Hi all,
All the details (start/finish time, route, pub) will be available next week.
I have already ordered the perfect weather
12 walkers so far! Thank you for joining me, I hope that we will have a great time
Hi Seb
I’m trying to join your walk as the one I was registered for in Bedford has been cancelled.
I am having trouble registering as it is saying I am already registered.
Please could you advise
king regards
Deana
Hi Deana,
I just had a look at Bedford walk and there is no one one the list there.
I have no idea why the system is blocking you, will email WWPW support
and ask what to do – I’m sure there is a way of letting you join us
I have send them email yesterday, still waiting for reply. Will let you know as soon as I will hear something.
Still haven’t heard anything from WWPW team. Have you tried to create a different accouint and sign up with that one? If you won’t succeed, please come anyway!
Doesn’t really matter what your photographic abilities are, right . . .? I mean, you don’t have to be like a professional, is that correct?
That is correct! The idea behind the walk is to get together, take some nice photos without any hurry, exchange knowledge, get to know new people and then show your best photos in the pub (only if you want to
).
SO yeah… no matter what your photography skills are – come along and take some great snaps!
Quick update: We already have a nice group of people that will attend the walk! I will be visiting St Albans this week to double check the route and pub options that are dependable on the final number of participants (I’m trying to get us a nice group discount
)
One more thing: would you be interested in quick and informal strobist workshop after the walk? I thought that it might be interesting for some of you. Let me know
I would certainly be interested in an informal strobist workshop after the walk. I don’t think it is wise to ever pass up an opportunity to learn new stuff.
Great, I will bring the basic strobist set
One of the walkers will do as a model!
OK guys, I’m off to St Albans, see you at 1pm!
WHAT A GREAT DAY!
Thank you all for coming and taking part in my first World Wide Photo Walk.
You were all great to walk with
I’ve seen some great photos at the back of you cameras today – make sure that you will submit your best shot on this page to get a chance to win Scott Kelby’s book “Light It, Shoot It, Retouch It”.
The deadline is 7th Ocotber, 4pm – make sure you won’t miss it!
You can also upload your collection to out Flickr groups: http://www.flickr.com/groups/wwpwstalbans2011 (just for our walk)
and
http://www.flickr.com/groups/wwpw4 (world wide group, make me proud!)
Thanks again for making an effort and coming to the walk, I really appreciate it!
Can’t wait to see your shots!
Seb
Thank you Seb, it was a great day and I for one am grateful you donated your time and effort into making the walk happen.
Looking forward to meeting you again, hopefully in November.
Regards
Neil
It was a pleasure, I think we were lucky to have a great bunch of lovely people on the walk. Same time next year ?:)
Looking forward to seeing who wins this and potentially moves onto the big one
Would it be possible for you to forward my email address to Deana Costin – I was with my grandson in St Albans yesterday and she took a photograph of us – she said that if I went on facebook I would be able to see the photograph she took – unfortunately I am 74 years young but do not have a facebook account! If you could forward this on to her she could then email it direct to me. Thank you for your help in this matter.
Hi Letty,
I have passed the message. All the best!
Hi Seb,
Thanks for leading a great day.
You said in your most recent message to post our best picture on this page, can you explain how to do that as I can’t find any link or details on here?
Thanks
Clive
Hi Clive,
WWPW team decided to wait for all walks to finish first and then enable this feature.
You can now upload your entries, I’m looking forward to all your photos!
Hi all! Just to let you know – the author of the best photo submitted to St Albans WWPW contest will be announced tomorrow (12/10/2011) after 5pm. Good luck
And the winner is…
David Turner!
Congratulations!
Great composition and post processing.
I’ll be in touch with you soon to discuss the delivery of Scott’s book.
It was a close one and it was really difficult to pick the winner. Thank you for sending your photos, you all did a great job.
Good choice and well deserved winner.
