Photo Walk Description

Tour of downtown Sheffield, lots of historic buildings with fantastic details. We’ll be kicking off the walk from inside the historic Ritz Theater. We’ll begin by getting some great shots on the inside of the Ritz. Then we’ll be heading outside for some shots of the newly restored marquee. Other sites will include the original fire station #1 and many more.
Please remember to bring your camera (duh!), lens, appropriate weather gear, sunscreen if needed, etc. I will have bottles of water iced down for anyone that wants it.
After the walk concludes, we head over to Casa Mexicana Restaurant for a beverage of your choice and a meal if you wish. While we’re at the Casa, everyone can chat and display their best shots of the day. I’m sure everyone will enjoy it and make some new friends.

About me; I’m an amateur photographer who is always in the learning mode. I went on two of the Photowalks in Huntsville last year and knew that Sheffield would be as interesting if not more so to shoot some great pictures. Assisting me on the Photowalk will be Steve & Sheri Wiggins (Whipperwill Hollow Films). They are natives of Sheffield and into both still and video photography.

I was looking for a walk in an unusual and exotic location. You can’t get much more exotic than Sheffield. Well, actually, you can, but Sheffield is exotically close to me (3 hours or so) and until two days ago I’d never heard of the place.
