Hi folks! Welcome to the Sault Ste Marie World Wide Photo Walk!

I pretty excited to be the leader of this walk. Just so you know, it’s for all skill levels and all kinds of cameras. You don’t need a big ol’ DSLR to go on this photo walk. You can use your point and shoot or even your iPhone for that matter. It is a good idea to have a digital camera though so we can all look at our photos after and for uploading onto the Flickr group. http://www.flickr.com/groups/saultwwphotowalk/

We will all meet in the Sault Ste Marie Civic Centre (city hall) parking lot at 9:45am on Oct 2/11. Park down by the waterfront. There we will proceed along the boardwalk around the Civic Centre and follow it to Clurgue Park. From there we take a short walk up Bay Street to the Old Stone House. From there we will return to the Civic Centre parking lot and have lunch at Docks. They have said we can have the lower room to ourselves. The map that accompanies this isn’t very accurate as to the path the walk will take, but the site made me enter something

The World Wide Photo Walk rules are that we have to keep the walk to pretty flat terrain to accommodate as many people as we can and safety is the main concern. Being that it is fall in the Sault, I’ve set up the trek so we can experience some colours as we go.

This is where we can view our photos, talk about the walk, photography, have something to eat and go from there!

I’ll be setting up a Flickr group so we can upload our photos from the walk. As a group leader I have a to choose my favourite photo from the walk; that winner will be getting a prize (Scott Kelby’s latest book – Light It. Shoot It. Retouch It.) and then will be eligible for the grand prize!
