Photo Walk Description

Thanks for checking out the Sandpoint Photo Walk, I am excited to be leading the first official walk in Sandpoint! For those of you that do not know me my name is Jason Duchow (pronounced dew-ko), I am a professional photographer from the Sandpoint & Priest River area.

My initial plan for the walk is to start at the City Beach, wander around there for a while and then follow a route through part of downtown. We will then end the walk right in time to have dinner together at a Jalapeno’s restaurant. If you are not familiar with a photo walk, you don’t have to be a professional you just have to have a camera and love using it. The walk is open to anyone mature enough to handle the walk and young enough to walk about a mile in two hours or less. The walk is just as much a social event as a photography event, it is an opportunity to meet other people that are interested in photography and spend a few hours shooting and socializing.

What a fun time! Thanks again to everyone who joined in on the Sandpoint walk, it was so nice to meet and talk with you all. I can hardly wait until next year’s walk! As promised, I have set up a flikr group for you to share your photos. Please feel free to post your photos and interact with each other. I am excited to see the different ways that each of you captured the walk route. The link to the flikr group is: http://www.flickr.com/groups/1766068@N20/

The deadline to enter your best shot for the contest is October 7th. Pick only one photo for the contest . . . . but feel free to post all you want to on the flikr group! Hello Sandpoint Photo Walkers!

I just wanted to let everyone know that I have talked to the Manager of Jalapeno’s and they would be glad to have us meet there after our walk for dinner. We are only 10 days away from the walk and there is still plenty of room for more people to sign up. If you know anyone that you think might be interested in joining up please pass the word along to them!

    See you in 10 days!
    Jason

Sounds great. Looking forward to this event.

  2. Vicky Johnson says:

Jason I think I am OK to go on the registration but it was a pain being on dial up to get it done & then the computer locked up and I thought I was not in the Q but it appears I am. See ya there on Tuesday at 4 PM. My camera is at the shop for repairs so I will bring a spare camera for the event. I am hoping it will be back in time.

  3. Larry Coles says:

I have reduced my shots to maybe seven but where do I up load… also I have one for the competition, where does it go?
    thanx for the get-together

  4. Larry Coles says:

OK uploaded one, but is the link above for uploading for the contest or just the local pix for our group?

  5. Larry Coles says:

getting your image uploaded to the contest is not a problem, however some are having a real problem with Flickr. I never used them, and doing it for the first time was a pain… was in chat with Matt when I finally go it… some steps by a experienced user might be good for those running out of time and who are totally frustrated… L

  6. Larry Coles says:

or even an email to those who haven’t posted with a “HowTo” might help

  7. Larry Coles says:

is there a link to Kelbys gallery of submitted pix. I would like to see them??? Inquiring minds want to know
