Note: The Official Worldwide Photo Walk Date is July 24th, 2010
Join Hal Schmitt and the crew from LIGHT Photographic Workshops in the historic area of Downtown San Luis Obispo. We’ll start our walk at Mission San Luis Obispo De Tolosa, one of the oldest and most beautiful missions in California. Wandering around the outside and inside of the mission will give us the opportunity to capture some beautiful architecture, any HDR enthusiasts will have a blast! When finished at the mission we’ll walk along the San Luis Obispo Creek that runs through the heart of San Luis Obispo. Along this scenic path you’ll see secret artistic gems, HDR landscapes, local vegetation and wildlife.
You’ll want to bring a variety of lenses including a nice Wide Angle for the mission and a Macro lens for creating abstract flower imagery. Tripods are allowed in the mission but please be considerate about where you setup and please no tripods on the altars. There is no flash photography inside the Mission, however you may want to bring a small fill flash for outside the mission and along the creek. Optionally you can join us for lunch at Novo Restaurant and Lounge to mix, mingle and share your pictures and experiences with other photography enthusiasts.
