I have enjoyed photographing this location for the last two years and have had photographs from the Museum Reach published in most of the Texas-based magazines and also the Southwest Airlines Spirit Magazine. The beauty of the riverwalk and the fauna offer great photo ops and with the many permanent public displays of art, our group should offer many great photos in the WWPW photo contest. I cannot compete so I will be offering advice and technique for attendees. The pace will be slow but please bring your walking shoes. The Farmers Market will have food and drink available for those that want to grab a drink, snack, or meal before the walk. Feel free to email me a message with any questions you may have. See you soon. – Jon Alonzo

Hi Jon, I am the person in the wheelchair and just joined your walk. If you tell
me I can not physically participate I will remove my name ASAP to avoid blocking
      someone else.

        Jim,

I am checking right now to be sure that this section by Pearl is wheelchair accessible. I will do everything I can to ensure you have an enjoyable participation with this photo outing.
I will get back as soon an I have a definite answer.

I am so looking forward to this walk and for a chance to stretch those photography muscles! I am very excited to see a new area of San Antonio since i am from out of town and not a TX native! -Leah

      Leah,

Share with us where you are from. The River Authority has send me some back
ground information on the art pieces and some other helpful info concerning this
new section of the riverwalk. I’m excited to share this new section with you.

        Jonathan,

I moved to Texas about a year ago and i live out in Kerrville. I moved here from the San Fransisco Bay Area where i had lived for almost 2 years. However, I’m originally from South Dakota. Needless to say i move around a lot. :) Very excited to see all the art pieces and some more of the river walk!

  3. Jon Alonzo says:

Chef Johnny Hernandez has graciously volunteered to pick up pastries and to greet us before our walk on Saturday. As I mentioned the Farmers market will be taking place Saturday morning and The Culinary Institute of America has let me know that there will be a cooking demonstration from 9:00 – 9:30. If the group is interested is taking some photos at the demo we can work that into the morning photography.
