Photo Walk Description
Hi! My name is Curt Warwick and I am a photography enthusiast and one of the organizers for the Roanoke area photography meetup group: Exposure Roanoke. I am proud and excited to be representing Roanoke, VA in the world’s largest photography event: Scott Kelby’s 4th Annual World-Wide Photowalk!
On October 1st, at 9:00am, we’ll meet in the parking lot next to Mill Mountain Coffee on Salem Avenue in downtown Roanoke. From there we’ll begin our walk, and you are welcome to stay with the group or head out on your own. We’ll meet back at the starting point at 11:30 and review our photos together. There, everyone will be encouraged and instructed where they can upload a few of their best pictures of the day. One of these images will be chosen to represent Roanoke in the World-Wide photo competition. The photographer with the winning photo will be awarded a copy of Scott Kelby’s book: “Light it, Shoot it, Retouch it”, and be entered in the National competition.
All skill levels are welcome, and the fun doesn’t end when the PhotoWalk is over. Exposure Roanoke meets several times a month and our events cover a very wide range of photographic topics. If you are not already a member, check us out at http://www.exposureroanoke.org/. This is a great bunch of photographers, membership is free, and there are always opportunities for learning and sharing.
