Photo Walk Description
Beautiful downtown Riverside, Mission Inn, RIverside Art Museum, Etc.
Hi Everyone. Welcome to the Riverside Photowalk. This is the second year doing the Riverside Photowalk. I choose the 3-6 time slot this year because of the fabulous light in the afternoon in the downtown area. Last year we maxed out at 50 and hope to do the same this year. Hi Everyone.
Looks like we are full for our PhotoWalk. I really looking forward to meeting and shooting with everyone. Couple of updates.
1. RAM (Riverside Art Museum) is open until 4 PM. They have been kind enough for those interested in stopping by, to lower the admission to $6 and $3 for seniors. They have also offered anyone from our group a special yearly membership rate of $20. RAM is such a beautiful building.
2. Our plan was to have everyone visit UCR’s California Museum of Photography on Main Street Mall. This year they are starting their new Seismic Shift and Aftershocks exhibits, however Oct 1st is their opening day and will not open until 6 PM. The museum said they would love for us to stop by after 6 PM and there will be no charge.
3. We will be meeting on Oct 1st at 3 PM in the back half of AppleBee’s in Riverside at 3820 Mullberry St, Riverside.
The reason for the later start this years is because of the beautiful light later in the day in downtown Riverside. There will be a lot of great photography to be had and meeting you all is icing on the cake. I, and others would love to help you with any of your photography questions. My goal is to have everyone go home with a new way of looking at photography. It’s going to be a great time. Scott Kelby, WWPW will be handing out prizes. You can win some very cool stuff. Prize info can be seen here http://worldwidephotowalk.com/prizes. There will also be one prize winner from our group which will receive Scott Kelby’s, “Light it, Shoot It, Retouch It” book. The image will be selected from one of the many images posted on our Flickr Group page only. Our Flickr group is “Invite” only. The only way I can send an invite is via e-mail. What I would like everyone to do is please send a e-mail to bob@bobshot.com and I will send you the invite. You can also give your e-mail to us on Saturday. I’m hoping everyone will post and share their favorite images from our Photo Walk
