Photo Walk Description
Welcome to our Photowalk! I participated as a walkee last year and had such a great time, I decide to host a walk this year. I absolutely love seeing the variety of photos you get from a group of photographers all taking photos at the same time and place. I can’t wait to see everyone’s unique perspective.
This is a great chance to meet other photographers, ask questions and share your love of taking pictures. Photographers of all skill levels are encouraged to attend.
We will start at the Smart Park by the train station with a group photo and then set out along a predetermined route. I will have directions for the route available the day of the walk. Sunset is at 6:49 that day and hopefully we will have some sun and be able to take advantage of the beautiful light around sunset. I plan for the walk to take around 2 hours then will have a restaurant or pub where we can go to share stories, photos and get to know each other.
Please check back for updates especially as we get closer to the date. If by chance we have really bad weather that day, I will have an alternate plan.
If you sign up and find that you can’t make it, please update your RSVP so someone else can attend.

It’s so great that your doing this! I’ve been on all these walks but never a night one – that’s perfect. I think I signed up as the availables went down to 19 but I’m coming no matter what!

I just found out about WWPW through another website, and immediately decided to sign up. It sounds like such a great idea. I recently moved back to my native Portland after three years and a lot of photo opportunities in Japan, so I’m really excited to re-explore Portland now that I am so much more into photography. OK I know there will be a million questions, or not, but I can’t find where to upload my one picture for the contest? It says the team leader picks “the one”. I know you said there’s a flicker account somewhere too — sorry to be so clueless but could you let me (or us) know if others can’t find where to do that either. Thank you. Hi Betty, I was having the same problem, I read on another forum that you need to log in to be able to upload. I just logged in (this page on the upper right corner) and the upload box now shows up. Good luck.
