Photo Walk Description

My name is Mitch Kloorfain and this is a GREAT location for a PhotoWalk! The town of Tradition at Sweet light and Sunset times is a photographers dream. We will begin at the Welcome Center and travel around the the town square with it’s unique fascade of stores and restaurants. The average temperature at that time should be going from the low 80′s to the mid 70′s so I would expect a comfortable evening. Dusk begins at 6:30ish, Sunset at 7:09 and Twilight ends at 7:31. This should provide a great array for various lighting scenarios.
The walk actually covers a short area with a lot of product but wear comfy shoes, a pen and paper and bring business card for the great networking opportunities.
Bring your cameras, your questions and your creativity. I have no doubt the WINNING image of the Worldwide Photo Walk can come from Port St. Lucie!

    Good afternoon PSL Photowalkers!

That was a fun evening!! I am certain we will see some very creative images.

Sometime before noon on the 7th is how long you have to upload your singular, FAVORITE image to the Photowalk Page (This one you’re on now). Upload a bunch of your fave images to this group at FlickR ( http://www.flickr.com/groups/photowalkpsl ).

I have already seen a few on the site and look forward to the rest.

Please drop me a note if you have any questions.

    Mitch

  • Official Photowalk T-Shirts available now

Once again, we’ve got some really cool t-shirts for walkers and leaders this year (one of the shirt designs are seen here), and once again (with the gracious help of Rob Jones of Towner Jones Photography), we’re using this to give back as 100% of the profits go directly to the Springs of Hope Orphanage in Kenya (last year we raised over $7,000 to feed and cloth the children), and this year we’re hoping, with your help, to hit $10,000 (which they could really, really use!).
There are a number of different styles (and even Hoodies and sweatshirts since its in October), so I hope you’ll pick one up and show your support for the walk, and more importantly for the Springs of Hope Orphanage.

No obligation, just an added way to help an orphanage tied into the walk.

Looking forward to seeing you all on Oct 2!!

  • Facebook page as a supplement

Good day Photowalkers. I am supplementing with a Facebook Page just to give me more of what to do but also as a better way to keep in contact. If you are signed up to walk and haven’t clicked on this page yet please try it.
    Thanks!!

Is this age restricted? This website is not allowing me to sign up in advance

    • Mitch Kloorfain says:

As long as you’re old enough to use a camera and feeling creative. If you’re going to bring a child that will photograph (A mom brought her 7 year old last year and he took some very cool shots) dont sign them up separate. Let them submit images under your registration to allow for others to join.

  2. Kathy Brokaw says:

    I’m in!

  3. E May Horn says:

    I’m in, also.

  4. Ingrid Martel says:

I am so excited to be in this year’s Photowalk. Thanks Mitch for sending me the link.

  5. Nikki Talerico says:

Not knowing if I will have a babysitter at this time can I bring my 10 month old? I will have him in a carrier instead of a stroller to make it easier and not hold anyone back.

  6. Hey Nikki, sure you can…and you can even take pictures of him/her. We start the walk together but then people see other angles, lights and subjects and wander off so no worries.

  7. Sherry Santino says:

    I’ll be there :)

  8. Kenneth Hoff says:

    Hi Mitch,
Did click to join this walk, however did not not seem to work.
Can you check to see I’m registered. Let me know if I need to do it again.

Thanks on behalf of PSL and all the local photogs.

    At Your Service,
    Ken

    • Kenn, you are not on the list. Please try again because they haven’t given the walk leaders any kind of ability to manually add people. Others have signed on today so I know the site infrastructure is working.

  9. Lynn Favorite says:

I would like to join in as well. There will be 2 of us.

Lynn Favorite and R C Hawley

    • I don’t see a registration for RC Hawley. In order to be eligible for the possibility of prizes please make a separate registration for each person attending. Looking forward to the Photowalk with you!

  10. Craig Hawley says:

I would like to join the photowalk

  11. Thanks, Mitch, for leading a great walk! It was a lot of fun. If any of the walkers would like to submit images to TCPalm.com (http://www.tcpalm.com/upload/picture/), they might get printed in next Monday’s (Oct. 10) edition of the St. Lucie News Tribune, Stuart News and Indian River Press Journal. We’ll also be showcasing photos from each of the Treasure Coast’s walks in an online gallery.

    Thanks everyone!
