  Hi Everyone!

  I have tried to load the route on the attached map, but it keeps going wonky. Here is the route:

  Down Stanley Street
  Across to Richmond Hill Street (views overlooking the harbour and ocean)
  Down to Russell Road (a few building sites and some cool stairwells)
  Into Govan Mbeki for a little bit
  Up Donkin Street (Donkin Reserve) *be prepared for a big hill*
  Into Belmont Terrace (beautiful old church and colourful houses)
  Across to Havelock Street (another stunning old church and gardens)
  Down Lawrence Street
  Over Cape Road
  Back into Richmond Hill, head back to Stanley Street.

  The idea was to give the group access to as many interesting places as possible – especially places you would not go by yourself. The route is 2.7km long, and I am negotiating with the traffic dept to have a small escort (we will see how well that goes by tomorrow).

• Change of venue

  My Apologies to everyone. The harbour is (predictably) proving difficult to get permission to walk around in. Repercussions of 9/11. I have decided to move it to Richmond Hill starting and finishing from outside CrackerJack Advertising in Stanley Street.
  That way we can all pop in at any number of coffee venues afterwards.
  On another note (for which I must once again apologise) I have had to make an unavoidable trip to Cape Town for business over the weekend of the Photo Walk. If someone is willing to take over the leadership I would be most grateful. Not a huge amount to do – I can fill you in on what needs to be done in 10 minutes. Thought this would be preferable to cancelling. Please let me know asap if you are willing to do the honours.

   I presume this walk didn’t happen, due to the weather.
   Is it likely to take place at another time, or is that it until next year?

     The walk did take place – we moved to the Boardwalk to have a bit of fun in the rain. The next walk will be next year

       Hi Niki,

       I did arrive at the meeting point in Stanley, albeit 4-5 minutes after 9:30, but didn’t see any activity. I assumed then it didn’t happen because of the rain.

     The walk was at 07h30 I hung around until 07h50 to redirect people…
