Photo Walk Description

Note: The Official Worldwide Photo Walk Date is July 24th, 2010

The Philadelphia Art Museum area offers photographers many opportunities to shoot images of the cityscape, the statues around the museum, the museum architecture and a short walk down to the river provides many additional vantage points for shooting. We will shoot in the early morning to capture the wonderful soft light of the city. Please wear comfortable shoes and remember to bring water, July in Philadelphia it is often hot and humid.

  • Final Information regarding PhotoWalk at Art Musuem

    Hi All, A couple of last minute issues. First, if you are not attending, please remove yourself from the walk. Second, please request to join the Flickr group to post your photos at: http://www.flickr.com/groups/pwphlartmuseum/
    We will be posting our photos for comment and review. I will be selecting on photo to compete against the other photowalks worldwide.

    Lastly, It is going to be the hottest day of the year on Saturday. Please arrive early so we can begin our walk at 8 AM and be finished at 10 AM…I am one who can not be out in the heat for too long. So least shoot and retreat indoors!

    I will be wearing a white t-shirt with the photowalk logo standing at the bottom of the Art Museum steps aka the “Rocky” steps.

    See you on Saturday at 8 AM!!

    Looking forward to the walk! I’m #2 on the waitlist, but I saw your post that I should plan to attend anyway.

    Does anyone have any suggestions for parking near the Art Museum? It looks like the museum lots/garages don’t open until 9am.

    Sorry…I can’t make it afterall. The ac in my van is not working but more importantly, my son who is also my babysitter, has to work. I’m really sorry…I was really looking forward to going.
