  • Just 3 Days to go...

    Hi Folks.
Well it’s not long now until the BIG day so to help everyone get ready and give you an idea as to what’s going to be happening I’ve posted a few hints/tips and details of extra prizes on offer over on my blog at http://www.glyndewisblog.com

Looking forward to catching up with you all on Saturday,
    See you soon,
    Glyn :)

  • Parking Information

Hey Folks, just thought I’d give you an idea about parking for the Oxford Photo Walk.

The best place to park is in one of the Park & Ride locations. We’ll be in Thornhill which has masses of parking spaces, is free to park in all day until late and costs only £2.20 for one Return ticket on the provided bus service or £4.00 if buying in a pair.

Buses run every 15 minutes and take no longer than that to get you right into the Centre; in fact one of the stops is directly opposite the alleyway leading to where we’re all going to be meeting.

You can find more information by pasting the following link into your web browser: http://bit.ly/pTuhIY

    See you soon,
    Glyn

  • Start & Finish Points

    Hi Folks,
Just to let you know that we’ve now got the route all plotted out for the Photo Walk which takes in so much of what there is to see around the City. I’ll update you with the route in the next day or so but for now I’ve added in the place where we can all meet which will end up being the Start and Finish points of the Walk.

We’re going to be meeting at Radcliffe Square which is opposite the famous Radcliffe Camera.

More updates coming soon so bye for now,
    Glyn :)

for all doing the Worldwide photowalk in Oxford and is thinking of getting a t-shirt from here http://www.cafepress.com/cp/viewcart_generic.aspx?s=townerjones&keepshopping=%2Ftownerjones%2F7948472 it looks like it might be more cost effective to order multiple quantities to one address in UK. If anyone is interested let me know & we’ll sort something out.

  28. Glyn Dewis says:

Not long to go now folks; looking forward to meeting up with you all.

Thinking of adding in an extra competition with some prizes on offer too so be sure to check the blog this week.

    Catch you soon,
    Glyn :)

  29. Richard Hales says:

Um, Radcliffe Camera is in Radcliffe Square and the Camera is round so it has no opposite

  30. Richard Hales says:

And, forgot to say, Thornhill Park & Ride will be busy on a Saturday afternoon so it may be best to use one of the other Park & Ride services (especially if you are not coming in from the London area) There is a map of them here: http://www.parkandride.net/oxford/html/oxford_parkandride.html
Parking is available in Oxford (although, not a lot) and it is eyewateringly expensive; the centre of Oxford has an “interesting” road system, most of the centre is closed to everything except busses and taxis so best avoided if possible .
Most colleges and University buildings won’t let you use tripods so probably not worth lugging one around all day.

If you have some time on your hands the Botanic Gardens and Magdalen College & Deer Park are worth visiting (10 minute walk from Radcliffe Square)
