About This Walk
There are many good spots to photograph in Montreal and the Old Montreal, together with the Old Port area, is probably one of the best.
From old architecture to new constructions, street life, coffee shops, bars and outdoor terraces, there will be plenty of subjects to photograph.
The meeting point and the start of the photowalk is Park Square Victoria, in front of the W Hotel, between Rue Saint Antoine and Avenue Viger. We will start the walk by heading into the World Trade Center (Centre du commerce mondial) about a block away, for some interior shots of beautiful fountains and some unique architecture elements.
From there, we will make our way outside, through the narrow streets of Old Montreal towards Place d’Armes and the Notre-Dame Basilica.
We will continue to explore the iconic Rue Saint-Paul and then the Old Port Promenade, which we will follow towards Bassin Bonsecours and eventually the area of the Clock Tower (Quai de l’Horloge).
After the walk, we will get together at Taverne Gaspar on Rue de la Commune to share a drink and exchange on the topic of photography.
All levels of photographers are welcome.

For those who got separated, we arrived in the Old Port by Centre des sciences. Or meet us at Taverne Gaspar after 4pm.
Rainy or notOctober 7th, 2017
I am here for those brave enough to ignore the weather. We’ll be waiting until 2:15PM and then continue as planned. Find me right at the entrance of the metro station in front of W Hotel.
The photowalk is tomorrow!October 6th, 2017
Quick reminder that the photowalk is tomorrow, Saturday, Octoboer 7 at 2PM.
Remember to charge your camera’s batteries and empty your memory cards tonight!
The photowalk will take place whether it’s rainy or shiny outside, there is always something to photograph! Although the photowalk is not very long, bring a bottle of water to stay well hydrated.
As we will mostly walk the streets with only a brief stop inside at the World Trade Center, tripods won’t really be necessary – stay light and nimble.
I look forward to seeing you all!
