Photo Walk Description
Dawes Arboretum has several driving (car) paths to their Chinese Garden, a historic building, loads of special trees planted by famous individuals, a lake and even a swamp and grave yard. We’ll meet up at the first parking lot on the left when you enter the park. It’s across the drive from the Welcome Center. (Specialty items and maps and drinks/snacks.) From their we can chat about who would like to go into each area and break into smaller groups where we can help each other finding that special shot. Don’t forget to find that special shot that talks to you and enter Scott Kelby’s contest. After a fantastic morning of shooting we can meet back at the parking lot and compare photos and don’t forget to bring a small picnic. The park has so many places to explore for nature. Maps of the area will be provided but they are also available at http://dawesarb.org/
A little about me. I’ve been loving photography for a few years now. Still working my way up but I’ve shot weddings, family portraits, models and some food images. Using a variety of natural light and wireless flash. Both manual and TTL. I’m used to shooting in RAW and processing in Adobe Photoshop but I’m current with methods to fix a number of issues with JPG files as well. Adapting is the name of the game today.
Welcome all and hope to see you there.
