Photo Walk Description

A photographic exploration of picturesque Sheepshead Bay. This neighborhood has everything from fishing boats and clam bars, to landmarked buildings and a Holocaust Memorial. Across the water, via a wooden footbridge, is the serene, wealthy community of Manhattan Beach with it’s gaudy new “mc mansions” and old tudor style homes on streets named after English towns. The Shore Boulevard promenade provides beautiful views of the bay’s waterfront business district, and sailboats of all sizes anchored in the sheltered harbor. Our goal will be to capture the ambience and character of this eclectic community.

  • Important Photowalk Info

Hope all of you are ready for Sunday’s photo walk in Sheepshead Bay. Here are few important things you need to be aware of:

We will meet promptly at 8:00AM on Neptune Ave & Shore Blvd.

Our end of walk location is El Greco Diner, Emmons Ave at Sheepshead Bay Road. We’ll arrive there at around 10:00AM.

    Safety—Safety—Safety—Safety

I can’t stress enough how important it is to stay safe during our walk. Keep your eyes open and be aware of your surroundings. Look behind you when backing up. Stay on the sidewalk. Please don’t step out into traffic. Keep your camera and your belongings on your person at all times. If you put it down there’s a chance it may be stolen, or accidentally left behind.

Wear comfortable walking shoes, and a jacket. It’s predicted to be cool out there.

The most important advice for Sunday is to have fun and stay safe. And did I mention Safety is important too?
