Photo Walk Description
We will be walking historic Flagler Avenue, shooting along the way. From the Ocean to the river and back. We will most likely be meeting and having lunch at Clancy’s Cantina after the walk. I will post more details as the event gets closer. Look forward to meeting everyone.
I’m really looking forward to this walk. I have been wishing for someone with knowledge of the area to lead a walk in this area. Ok, I was wishing for Daytona, but New Smyrna is still good. Used to hang out there a bunch as a kid.
I am excited to see NSB on the list of cities available for the photo walk. This will be my first walk and since NSB is my home town, I couldn’t ask for a better setting. Billy, thanks for organizing the walk.
Hello walkers. We are a little over a week from our walk. I hope everyone is excited and ready to get some great shots, have fun and hopefully learn a few things too. I have arranged a few prizes for our group, including some walk t-shirts and a couple of 1 hour Photoshop/Lightroom classes. For those of you, who have not been on a photo walk before, please read the faqs here on the WorldWidePhotoWalk site. If you have any questions, please contact me.
I challenge everyone to step out of your normal shooting and try to see things differently, choose a lens that you don’t normally use, pick a fixed focal length or there’s time to rent that lens you’ve wanted to try. Give yourself an assignment. For those of you with iPhones/iPads there’s a great little app called Photo Walk Ideas. It generates an idea list based on a theme/difficulty and number of words you’d like in your list. If anyone needs help with ideas, please let me know.
I look forward to meeting all of you and having a fun morning. Don’t forget to tell your friends or anyone else that would like to join us on our walk. The more the merrier.
Just a reminder to bring plenty of water to drink, snacks, sunblock, a hat and wear comfy shoes. Don’t forget plenty of memory cards and make sure you have them formatted before getting there.

I think it is only 1 photo for judging. When you upload it only gives the option for 1, then gives you the option to replace. That is just what I have seen.

There’s been a little confusion as to how many images to upload and where. This year, you are able to enter only one image. If you are entering the contest, you will add your image to our walk page here:

To do this, first, log in at WorldwidePhotoWalk.com, then go to our walk page. There you’ll see instructions in a big yellow box on how to submit your single best image from your walk to the contest. You will have until October 7 at 12:00 noon EDT to upload your best image to the contest. The maximum file size for images is 1MB. We suggest it to be 1000px on the longest side at 72dpi. As the walk leader, I have no way to resize or do anything to your images.

Has the date been extended?
Date has been extended to the 10th! Photos look great… keep them coming… We only have 8 uploaded so far.
Do we get to see which 8 (or all entries when done) were submitted? Dying to see….
good question? the site doesn’t allow it, but i’d be happy to take a screen capture or tag the entries on our flickr group page. i’d want to get okays from everyone entering first.
