Photo Walk Description
Nashville is my home town, and I love it! Many of you have photographed Nashville from the points highlighted on the map, but I want to challenge you to see our city with new eyes. Nashville is an entertainment mecca, with beautiful architecture, lively venues, and bustling street scenes. There is neon everywhere! As we walk around town, look for new sights and sounds you haven’t noticed before, and let’s capture Nashville in a unique way.
Our route will take us from the Shelby Street Pedestrian Bridge, past the Schermerhorn Center, Country Music Hall of Fame, Ryman Auditorium, and along Broadway to Riverfront Park. You may decide to stroll down a side street for a different point of view, just remember to continue along the route towards our final destination of Joe’s. For those of you who just can’t resist shooting the Nashville skyline from the bridge after dark, you will have time to do so, before meeting up at Joe’s to review our walk, talk about our photo experience, and to grab a bite to eat or drink.
I have been shooting seriously for about 4 years, with the last two gleaning every bit of info I can get my hands on to improve my photos. The Hendersonville Camera Club and Middle TN Shutterbugs are two groups I am actively involved in, organizing gallery exhibits, photo outings, and offering any assistance I can. If I don’t know an answer, I’ll find someone who does! Join me on October 1st for a great time!
The route showed up different from the original map for some reason, but meet me on the bridge, and I’ll point you in the right direction! See you soon!

Yeah! I’m in! I just picked up a new 50mm that I’m ready to put some clicks on.
On that note, I hope somebody brings a Fuji x100 and is willing to let me check it out. I’ve really been wanting to see one in person.
Kermit, I’ve just recently purchased a 50mm also but am having a little trouble getting the hang of it. I’d love to talk to you about it if we could hook up for a few minutes at the walk.
I’d love to offer any help that I can! I’ll be shooting a Nikon D3 on a rapid strap. Either wearing a black Under Armor pullover or a grey hoody.
