Photo Walk Description
I am the Photo Electronics Manager of London Drugs at Port Place Mall. I am super excited to lead this year’s Worldwide Photo Walk here in Nanaimo.
Whether you have a DSLR or point and shoot this is a free and fun event for up to 50 photographers where we will take a leisurely stroll and explore downtown Nanaimo. As this is the 4th Annual Worldwide Photo Walk by Scott Kelby so you will be taking part in a global event right here in your own hometown.
We will meet at the entrance of London Drugs @ Port Place Mall as there is free parking on the rooftop and we will venture out to the waterfront and together explore the downtown streets of Nanaimo from Front St to Fitzwilliam checking out Gallery Row, Heritage Mews and Old City Quarter ending at the Diana Krall Plaza on Commercial Street. At the end of the event I would like to get a group photo of all the participants.
We will meet up at 2:45pm and head out at 3pm.
After the walk we will go for some drinks and snacks at a venue downtown where we can share and enjoy the images we took during our walk. (Food and drinks are on your own account).

Hello – I just went through the registration process but, at the end it said “User already Exists” – However, after logging out and back in again, it seems to indicate I “am” registered.
Can someone please confirm that my registration ‘did’ go through? I’m told there are limited spaces available and I want to be sure I’m in.

The link http://tinyurl.com/nanwalk does link you to this exact page. You just have to log-in as registered walker just before the Photo Walk Description to add your photo…remember at the beginning of the walk I had announced that this site had somehow deleted names from the walk list? Well you may have to re-join the walk in order to submit your photo. If you still can’t submit then I will have to contact this site’s administrator to allow this work. Please contact me ASAP as the deadline for the 7th is not too far away.

Hi all – cannot figure out how to download my pic to the s.kelby contest – looked everywhere. There is supposed to be a yellow box to click onto. Yellow box??? Where?

You have to rejoin to see the upload box. I just uploaded my photo and it worked for me. I looked in the list of attendees and there are only seven names in there. Your name is not in the list.

Thank-you Arturo for your help. Yes as I mentioned at our walk and in the Leader Update section you MUST rejoin to see this upload box that is displayed just above the map at the top of this page. For whatever reason many of the registered walkers names got deleted prior to us going on the walk. Don’t delay your photo must be entered on this site by Oct 7th. A few of you have submitted your photo for our London Drugs contest so please bring in your CD and forms by Oct 7th also. I will announce the winners on October 10th. Please don’t forget to upload any photos you would like to share on the Flickr group I created for our walk.

I cant for the life of me figure out how to re-register. Any ideas? I would really like to upload my picture for the contest.

I know of at least two other people who had difficulty downloading their photo because of the deletion of registered walkers. I just checked the list of registered walkers and there are only eight names in there. Your name is not in there Meaghan; that’s why you’re having problems.
I had this same problem last year and again this year. For anyone else who is having problems, this is what you have to do. You can’t re-register now that the official walk is over.
Send an e-mail to: Worldwide Photo Walk
Attach the e-mail you received when you successfully registered and tell them about the deletion of the registered walkers’ name for Nanaimo and that you want to submit your photo. You will get an e-mail back once they have added you back to the list of registered walkers and then you can log in and be able to download your photo.
The photo should be no more than 1000 pixels on the longest side, 72 dpi and the maximum upload size is 1MB.
Tomorrow is the last day for submission of photos, but I find that the response time from the Photo Walk staff is quick.

Thanks for your help Arturo. Unfortunately they haven’t gotten back to me yet. I also posted a comment about it on the facebook page but for some reason they deleted it right away. After reading some of the posts there though I would say there are a LOT of people who havent been able to upload their photos so maybe they will extend the deadline.

If you are still experiencing issues logging in to the site to upload your photo please contact photowalk@kelbymediagroup.com to resolve it. I e-mailed them today and they got back to me within a few hours. Also due to the amount of site issues occuring they have extended the photo submission due date to October 10th. So please don’t delay and submit your photo for a chance to win a copy of Scott Kelby’s new book!
