Photo Walk Description

Note: The Official Worldwide Photo Walk Date is July 24th, 2010

Last year the photographers who participated in this walk had a ball. We will follow the same general plan for this year and walk around downtown Morgan Hill from the railroad tracks on the East to Monterey Street on the West and from East Dunne Avenue on the South to Villa Mira Monte (Morgan Hill House) on the North. Within that area is our vibrant downtown with its shops and restaurants, the Morgan Hill House, our revitalized 3rd Street promenade, the Farmer’s Market, Community Center, etc. Bring plenty of water to keep yourself hydrated and wear comfortable walking shoes. If you so choose, afterwords we can meet at one of the local restaurants for discussion, photo-sharing, drinks and/or lunch. See you there.

Meeting Instructions

We will be meeting in front of the BookSmart Store, 80 East 2nd Street, Morgan Hill, CA, at 08:45AM. Safety is the top priority for this event. Be careful while taking pictures. Watch for traffic, be aware of your surroundings, and so on. Wear comfortable walking shoes. Bring plenty of water to prevent dehydration, bring sunscreen to prevent sunburn, etc. Most of all have fun. See you tomorrow.

Participants of the Morgan Hill, CA 2010 Worldwide Photo Walk may use the flickr group ’2010 Worldwide Photo Walk – Morgan Hill, CA’ (http://www.flickr.com/groups/1435268@N25/) to upload and share as many of their images as they wish. Navigate to the group and request to become a member.

IMPORTANT: Participants should enter their favorite image, to be considered for the Photowalk contest, by following the instructions at http://worldwidephotowalk.com/2010/07/uploading-contest-images/. If you do not enter an image according to these instructions, you will not be entered in the contest. UPLOADING YOUR IMAGES TO FLICKR DOES NOT CONSTITUTE ENTERING THE CONTEST. I, as the leader of the walk, am not eligible to enter.

  Thanks Steve I keep this in mind. I was the leader last year and we had about 20 walkers in total. If the number gets greater than that I may need some help – I’ll let you know. As of right now seven have signed up.
