Photo Walk Description
Note: The Official Worldwide Photo Walk Date is July 24th, 2010
We will begin at Manteca Historical Museum on Yosemite and walk all those blocks in between there and Kelly Brothers. Several experienced photography walk and workshop leaders (and former Manteca Artists Of The Year) will be participating and throughout the walk will assist or coach anyone who desires help or a little creative encouragement.
Tomorrow is the big day! 8:30!

There is a problem!!!! There are many notices on the support forums about this .. people could not enter any photos in some areas this morning! According to their Notice “Photo Walk contest submissions will open on Sunday, July 25 and close July 31.”

There are all so good I will see I have my work set out for me to pick a winner. I think they are all winners but only one can go on to the finals. I wish you all luck!

It looks as though the winning photo was taken in Stockton, correct? By your husband no less. Well, I for one am a little disappointed that the winning photo was not a Manteca photo, since that was the impression we had, that the photo chosen would be from Manteca. Not all of us were able to make it out to Stockton that night.

There were two photos submitted that I thought would have a good chance to win a prize. We told everyone that the evenings photos were going to be eligible. The photo submitted was not chosen because of the location but because of the quality of the photo. David did not enter photos last year because our walk was full. This year we had so few walkers that he entered to give us more to choose from. Although I was the walk leader I had others help with the selection just because of David’s entry. The names were not on the photos that we saw before choosing and I did not offer names for any of the photos. I am sorry that it was believed that I was biased, I was not and I asked for assistance for that reason.
I was wonder where the David’s photo was taken as I did not recognize the location as being in Manteca. It’s a great photo, just wish it was more representational of Manteca, if it was going to be included with The Manteca’s group. I am so sorry I missed all the fun. Hopefully next year will be able to go with the group.

It was a fun walk. Thank you everyone for helping to make it a good experience. I’d like to able to see even more of everyone’s photos from our walk if anyone is interested in sharing. from the day walk, I’ll get around to doing something with the night walk eventually.
I also had a lot of fun trying out different effects with the Adobe Lightroom software trial.
