Photo Walk Description
Highlights of the Photowalk include the Venice Canals, Venice Beach, Venice Pier, and the famous Venice Boardwalk. Due to the date change this year we will have the opportunity to capture images of this area during the Fall. The walk will be fantastic, as we will be going early enough in the morning that the sun will be lower in the sky for most of the walk.
This will be the second year in a row I will be leading a Photowalk. Last year I led the Scott Kelby Worldwide Photowalk in this area and it is one of my favorite areas of Los Angeles to Photograph. I have led many Photowalks and Photo Safaris over the past several years, including Photowalks for the Discovery Educator Network here in California. Photo Safaris I have led include several locations here in the greater Los Angeles area as well as Yosemite National Park. I am a middle school technology teacher and have had the privilege to share my passion for photography in the many lectures on visual learning and photographic composition I give throughout the United States.

For those of you wondering, based upon your comments, all of you so far are all set for the walk. There are only 16 slots remaining. As it gets closer I will send everybody a link to the custom google map I set up for the walk. I will also send a street view link or post a photo of the start location. We are just over two weeks away =^) I wanted to check in with those of you that are registered. If your plans change and you cannot make the walk please notify me right away so that I can go to the waitlist. Otherwise I look forward to seeing everybody in two weeks. I can’t wait! I’ve photographed this area many times but Venice is always an adventure and the canals are beautiful. See you all there!

Can you recommend a good place to park near the walk. I hear Venice is a bit cramped.

Greg I sent a message with a google map indicating a few parking lots. It should not be too difficule since this walk is not occurring in July. There should be easy and ample parking along Venice.

There should be ample parking on Venice as well since the walk is not during the summer.
