Photo Walk Description
HI London Ontario Photowalkers! My name is Donna, Chris Baldwin and I have been leading photowalks in the London and surrounding area for about the last year now. We have loved each and every walk, and thoroughly enjoyed all the new people and areas we have found to take photos and make fabulous new connectiosn! We are excited to be leading the fourth annual Scott Kelby World Wide Photowalk . The walk will be on October 2nd, 2011. We will start our walk at 8 am, meeting at the second drive way west of the Civic Garden Complex parking lot. just west of Wonderland Road (the second entrance west of wonderland road on springbank drive to the park. We will then walk west along the Rivers edge and through the park system on the bike path to the Storybook Gardens area, and then make the return trip. We will all arrive back at the Tim Horton’s on Wonderland and Commissioners Road to share our photos, stories and connections. Be prepared for a rain or shine walk, wear comfy shoes and register early! If you have questions please feel free to check with us on the London Photowalk.ca web page.

How do you register for the walk
Judy, you need to register and with the site and join the walk. Look at the map above and you should see a button for “join this walk”. You’ll have to set up a user account.
Hope to see you there!
hi judy,
sorry i missed your question. just like kathryn says, if you have trouble shoot me an email with your information and i will give you a hand …it will be a great walk. fingers crossed for great weather or at least no rain!!! the early hour will give us a cool perspective we have not had in that area this year for sure.
Yeah! this is our weekend! be sure to check out the photowalks in other cities, and towns. No matter where you are this weekend you should be able to catch a great walk! there is one st. thomas, one saturday evening in Sarnia, several in toronto! check the find a walk link. the walks take place for two days all over the world! pretty fascinating. you have to be registered for a walk to submit photos for the prizes. or just come out and enjoy the great company and cool location. So far there are over twenty seven thousand photographers registered around the world taking part! how cool is that???
I am thinking we should add a challenge to our photo walk on Sunday morning…hope to see you out!
go the londonphotowalk.ca for the map! Chris B was kind enough to use GPS location points there as well! whoooo
Looking forward to meeting you all
We are excited to meet the new people and share ideas and enjoy a lovely walk in our city. the walks have been going on here in town for three years at least! Watch the http://www.londonphotowalk.ca for a late October walk in Dorchester Ponds. Should be gorgeous colours.
I can’t believe I have never come to one of these walks before! I will have to check one out soon! Thanks for the link Donna. Looking forward to meeting everyone!
Looking forward to tomorrow. Sure hope the weather clears up a bit for us. May have to break out the winter jacket!
I think a challenge is a great idea!
See everyone there!
Hi Laura, we are sure hoping for warming temps! wow today was chilly this morning. tomorrow will be lovely. the mist around the Thames at that time of day should be host to lots of incredible photos and fun! fingers crossed. hoping for some weather magic.
Just to clarify… are we meeting in the parking lot of Springbank Park or Civic Cardens/Rose Gardens?
Not sure exactly… but it’s the 2nd entrance on the right, when heading west from Wonderland along Springbank.
At least that’s according to the london photowalk.ca website details
On a side note, anyone know connecting bus routes from Platt’s Lane/Oxford to get to the photowalk? Thought I could catch the Wonderland #10 but doesn’t seem to start running until 9…
the parking lot for meet up is the second one west of wonderland and springbank intersection. the first one is for civic garden complex, where the greenhouse is and the rose gardens. the second one, on the north side of springbank drive is the one for meet up. Chris B’s cell phone number is on the http://www.londonphotowalk.ca web page. sorry, believe it or not I do not have a cell phone!
Hector I am sorry I do not know the buses, anyone coming from that way that you could hitch a ride? bring a friend with a car
Hope the walk went well
Wasn’t able to make it down… but I will definitely watch the LPW website for the next one
sorry you missed us Hector, it is always a good time. there will be another towards the end of the month at Dorchester Mill Ponds.
