Photo Walk Description
NOTE: The map function is acting weird. The walk will start from the bear lookout platform near the Glacier Visitor Center. We can finish at the covered shelter. In the instance that it’s gross weather, we’ll meet and then decide what to do from there (maybe dispatch to another location). -cb
Decided the walk should be in a place that will enable us to capture some uniquely Alaskan photo walk environments… Glaciers, streams, wildlife, and maybe even some tourists. The path of the walk will be fairly free flowing so if you want to hurriedly move on or lag behind, you’re welcome to pace yourself. I expect to check for wildlife near the elevated platforms and then maybe move towards the visitor center. We’ll plan to meet back up at the covered area at the visitor center parking and head out towards Bullwinkles for some photo review & possibly some refueling with their wares.
My tips for new Photowalkers:
* You can be a paid photo pro with an FX D-SLR or the “what’s an f-stop” newbie with a cell-phone camera. This is an open invitation gathering. Come learn & teach from others!
* You can bring as much or as little photo gear with you as you like. Remember you’ll have it with you likely for the full 2 hours, so I tend to enjoy the lighter weight approach and the forced creativity if I only have one option in hand.
* Bring friends! The more the merrier.
About me:
* I’m Cody.
* I have red hair and stand around 6 feet tall.
* I like photography. A lot. I guess you could call me a semi-pro photographer as I also do IT Support for UAS, and have another small business.
* I love to teach and learn and experience everything there is to have about photography.
* I’m always keen to make new friends, but _sometimes_ (not often) can be shy.

I think I registered. -Jill
