Meet Time: 08:30am - 10:30am
Photo Walk Description
Hello my name is Steve Russell and I work for the Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce. I was the Walk Leader three years ago and we had a great time. I purchased my first Nikon F2 35mm camera in 1972. After 20 years of working at KSNF-TV as a videographer, I switched jobs and did not touch a camera for 10 years. A few years ago I got bit by the “photog bug” and purchased a Nikon D5000 and enjoy taking lots of pictures again.
At 8:30 am we will meet at the Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce office located at 320 East 4th Street. The office will be open and rest rooms available. Depending on your level of photography you can walk along with the group or head out on your own. We will walk west toward downtown along 5th street. Once we reach Main Street we will probably head south so you can take some great shots, work our way back east and then back to the Chamber. I have a couple of nice hidden places to test your skills. Once back at the Chamber we can have some refreshments and let the discussions flow.
If you decide to register for the event we will keep you posted on any schedule or location changes. The event is absolutely free. The only requirement, you have to love photography.
If you have any questions you can email me at, firstname.lastname@example.org. You can visit my website at www.steven-russell.com . Look forward to seeing you on October the 5th.
######## UPDATE #######
I have some good news. I have one gift certificate valued at $100 provided by MPIX, a division of Miller Professional Imaging. MPIX is a featured photo lab used by Scott Kelby. Following the photo walk you may place your name in a hat and if your name is selected you will receive the $100 certificate that you can use toward any MPIX photo lab services or products. One lucky winner should be very happy. See you October 5th.
