Photo Walk Description
I’m looking forward to again leading the Scott Kelby worldwide photo walk in Johnstown this year.
We will meet at the fountain in Central Park for a group picture about 8:45 am and will start the walk promptly at 9:00.
The walk route takes us past many of the historic structures in downtown as well as the Point Stadium and provides a view of the incline plane.
Walkers should wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather. Hopefully, mother nature will provide us with some spectacular fall foliage along our walk and the weather will be warm and sunny. THINK POSITIVE!
We will end our walk at Em’s sub shop (just across the street from where we started) where everyone can “chimp” and can purchase a snack or lunch (on your own).
Parking in downtown is free on the weekends and should be readily available near Central Park.
The best way to enjoy this walk is to travel light. You won’t have an enjoyable time if you are loaded down with a large assortment of equipment.
I would like to remind everyone about the importance of safety on this walk. It is in a busy downtown area with a fair amount of automobile traffic. Please be aware of your surroundings and don’t go into areas where you are uncomfortable! It’s also very easy to get caught up in getting that “perfect” shot and back right off the curb. A fall will ruin your day and may result in injury to you or your equipment. I want everyone to enjoy this day and to do this you must always put safety first.
I’m looking forward to meeting each of you on October 1st. Plan on it being a fun day where you will take lots of great pictures.
