Photo Walk Description

UPDATE: The walk schedule has been published! Please see the important update below and DOWNLOAD AND PRINT THIS MAP/SCHEDULE so you don’t get LOST! :) http://bit.ly/p1Nbdp

Note: Photowalkers filled up for the Saturday event fast! The first person signed up about 11pm Sunday, by 7:30am Monday the event was full. So we’re going to run this one TWICE this year (so-long as the Kelby team approves :) .

It’s the World Wide Photo Walk, Downtown @ Night (Sunday)! Each year, we start at the same location and photograph the sights and people of our awesome city. Those who attend year after year have collected a body of images as our urban environment changes over time. Buildings come and go, businesses open and close, then open again!

This year, the local transportation system will play a major role in our event. We will ride the Metro rail and get out at various Houstons locations. Then u-turn back to the University of Houston – Downtown to photograph the Downtown nighttime skyline.

A detailed map will be provided when you arrive, including which stops we will take and which areas we will hike.

Dinner plans to be arranged/announced soon.

Houston – Downtown @ Night is a photo walk lead each year by Houston Photographer Joe Lippeatt. Joe runs the HoustonPhotowalks.com social photography club. Our motto is “interesting and unusual”, and we’ve lead more than 100 photography events in the last 2 years for our 1,050 members.
