Photo Walk Description
Thanks for your interest in this Photo Walk. I teach photography at North Georgia Technical College and we will be sponsoring the walk in Clarkesville as well. I have been a professional photographer for over 25 years and have taught for over 10 years. I love all aspects of photography and am more than happy to assist and give advice during the walk. The walk will start at the fountain and will proceed towards Betty’s Country Store, turn left and loop back on Unicoi Street back to Hwy 17. Take a right on Hwy 17 and if you want a shorter walk, go left on Narr Weg or further down to Brucken Strasse. You will loop back to the fountain by way of Edelweiss Strasse then turn left on Chattahoochee Strasse. We will end up back at the fountain and relax at Jordano’s Pizza on the River. During the photo walk, be sure to take notice of the horses, the park up on the hill, water activities, shopping choices and remember that many shops are doing live demonstrations like candle making, glassblowing and magic. Consider impact…does your image make you stop and look. I look forward to another successful photo walk. We are working with North Georgia Technical College and the White County News to publicize the winners and come up with additional prizes. Winners will be published in the White County Newspaper.
I have been asked if you are required to walk with the group or even do the route. No it is not required. You can walk at your own pace or venture off on your own. You just have to stay in Helen and the photos have to have been taken during the hours of 10am and 12noon.
