Photo Walk Description

This walk will start in the parking lot near the container pier at 8am. We will walk up Point Pleasant Drive to Young Ave. (note you can venture into the park if you like). We will them go down Atlantic Street to the old Grain Terminal. From ther we will go down Inglis to Barrington and the Tim Horton’s. People should be arriving there at about 10:30am. At 11am we will walk down Barrington Street and pass through the tunnel and proceed along Marginal Road back to the Park. Please note we will not be traveling the detour on the map to Wellington Street. It is only there because the map would not save without it. Also the map does not show the walk back to the park from Tim Hortons as it would not recognize going through the tunnel.

Looking forward to seeing you there.

If it is raining on Saturday morning we will spend an hour or two at the new Farmer’s Market.

    Terry,

I would like to join the walk on Oct. 1. I filled in the form but it didn’t look like it was sent. So I either failed to send it or sent it several times by mistake.

I would like to say how disappointed I am with how this web site functions. From day one when I signed up, it took several attempts, and than after I was signed up I received several emails saying I was signed up again. My friend was signed up twice, which was fixed but another friend got so frustrated from trying to sign up that he gave up. An email arrived 60 min after I went to bed Friday, saying there would be an update in the morning: this update arrived at 8min to 8.

    • Sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the function of the site. The email update on Saturday morning was sent at 7:05am so I am not sure why the delay in your receiving it. Also note that I included my cell number so that you could call. We had two people arrive and meet us at 9am. Sorry that you missed the walk. This is the first time there has been weather issues with the walk.

    Hi, Terry -
I’ve walked for an hour and a half and couldn’t find you or the group. However, I’ve enjoyed the warm rain. Sorry I missed you.
‘ Hope the walk went well.

    • Sorry we missed you. An email was sent saying that we would be at the Farmer’s Market due to the rain. I drove through the parking area at 7:50am but did not see anyone with a camera so I moved on the market. Please submit an image from your walk into the contest.

    • Sorry we missed you. An email was sent saying that we would be at the Farmer’s Market due to the rain. Also note the the info on the site was modified late Friday night to state that if it was raing we would be meeting at the Farmer’s Market. I drove through the parking area in Point Pleasant Park at 7:50am but did not see anyone with a camera so I moved on the market. Please submit an image from your walk into the contest.
