Photo Walk Description

We will cover a slice of Greenpoint Brooklyn, starting with unique and gorgeous views of the waterfront and Manhattan skyline. In Greenpoint, we will see three of the city’s coolest water towers, plus a mix of some warehouses, churches, residences and commercial streets.

  • Revised Meeting Location and Directions

After walking through the neighborhood recently, I decided to alter the route a bit. We will no longer be meeting in Telegraph Park (although we will stop there). Instead, we will met at East River State Park at the foot of North Eighth Street.
If coming by Subway, you will take the L Train. Get off at the Bedford Avenue stop, which is either the first or last stop in Brooklyn depending on your direction. You will exit on 7th Street near either Bedford Avenue or Driggs. Bedford is closer to the park. Walk along 7th Street going opposite the direction of the one-way car traffic on 7th Street. After Bedford you will hit Berry Street, Wythe Avenue, and Kent.
The entrance to the park is at North Eighth Street and Kent Avenue, one block over to the right from Seventh Street. The park is wide open and it will be easy for us to find each other.

  • Note: Walk Time Is Confused -- It is a Morning 10am Walk

If you look at the details it says the walk runs from 10pm to 12 noon. This of course makes no sense, but I don’t think I can change it now so I am adding this note. The walk begins at 10 am.
    UPDATE:
I have since managed to fix this.
