Photo Walk Description
It’s that time of year again! This will be GRflickrs 4th year participating in the Scott Kelby Worldwide Photo Walk. This years walk takes place on Saturday, October 1st, 2010 from 11A – 2PM. We will be meeting on the steps of the GRAM and finishing at Pub43 for a flickrmission.
DATES TO REMEMBER:
OCT 1 – Photo Walk 11AM – 2PM
OCT 7 – Deadline for Submissions on Kelby Site (12PM EDT)
OCT 10 – I select the winner from Grand Rapids
OCT 17 – Honorable Mentions & Grand Prize Winner announced
OCT 17 – Peoples Choice voting opens
OCT 24 – All voting closes at 12PM EDT
Photo walk will be lead by Terry Johnston and we will start on the steps of the GRAM. From there the plan is to hit The Heartside and neighboring neighborhoods of downtown Grand Rapids.
Items to Bring/Think About:
- Camera (any will do)
- Bottle Water
- Comfy Shoes & Clothes
- Plenty of Memory Cards
- Tripod (if you choose)
- Umbrella (if it rains)
- Good Attitude

Most meter areas are free – Parking is going to be an issue, hopefully everyone can find a spot!
We have our 50 Walkers!!! There is a waiting list – if you are NOT able to make the walk please let me know ASAP so I can remove you and that way someone on the waiting list can get your spot.

you are now in the 50!
Bob… yes, still come out. I will be taking a roll call before we start, anyone not there will be taken off the list and you will be bumped onto the active 50. however, if all 50 show up you can still come out, just not compete for the prizes – only 50 / city are allowed by Kelby. (but still come out for photo fun)
I am sick right now and won’t be able to make it tomorrow. That will open one spot for someone on the waiting list. I tried to send a message using the Contact Leader link, but got an error message. Hopefully it went through to Terry!

So weird that I saw this at the drop-dead last minute and that I have a meeting
at 43 Saturday. My registration directed me to sign up for an additional walk in order to qualify for this one. Confused me; nevertheless I will be walking regardless of contest status.

This option should be available AFTER 9am on MONDAY. October 3rd. You have until noon on October 7th to upload your photo. A local winner will be chosen by October 10th.
If you have trouble uploading photos to the WWPW website or other technical issues, please contact them through the appropriate links on their site as I will be unable to help you and your photo will be ineligible unless properly uploaded to their site.

Hi Terry, Can I just go ahead of time and load all my photos to my flickr account without the tags including the one i will submit? i don’t want to post them to any pools or groups yet, just upload them to my account. Or do i need to submit the one photo first and then upload the rest to my account? Thanks!
only rule is that you have your 1 photo uploaded by Friday, which i see you did =) good job!

Hello, Grand Rapids Photo Walkers!
Due to some technical issues with the WWPW website earlier in the week, the deadline to upload a photo for the contest has been extended until noon on 10/10. That means it’s not too late!
So far only 14 photos have been uploaded to the WWPW website.
