Photo Walk Description
Hello Worldwide Photo Walkers, My name is Richard Gross and this will be the third time I have lead a Photowalk in the West Valley. This year I hope you will enjoy photographing in the Historic District of Glendale where you will find a variety of streetscapes and architecture of a restored ‘vintage’ nature. For those who hunger after a less ‘well groomed’ area, there are nearby aging industrial/business sites south of Glendale Ave. to train your camera on as well. We will start and end on the east side of the library, after which I will announce a restaurant close by for breakfast and socializing. All levels of photographers are welcome. Our past groups have always been full of friendly photographers willing to share their knowledge with beginners. My background is in Photo Education and I am presently teaching at both high school and community college levels. Don’t expect fierce competition for awards on this walk, we are out to have fun and get some good pictures. If you wish to submit work for judging at the end of the walk you are welcome to, but we are more about sharing ideas, swapping stories and having a good time. I look forward to meeting everyone Saturday morning.
p.s. free public parking in the garage on the SW corner of Palmaire Ave. and 58th Ave. This building also provides some nice camera angles of the neighborhood so keep your eyes open when you park.

Look forward to the walk this year Richard. I made some friends and have joined a photo club because of last years walk. Thanks fo rdooing it again.

Richard,
I like the time of year better this year! I will try to bring a used Point and Shoot if you still need them for the HS class.
Stephen
Hi Richard,
Look forward to meet you, Richard.
Guy
Richard, I have one point and shoot that works good to donate if you need, and I have two point and shoots that the lens hangs on, but all you have to do is turn them a little, otherwise they work good. Let me know if you are interested in either of them. Thanks
Any usable cameras would be greatly appreciated – thanks
Looking forward to my first Photo Walk.
This will be a great opportunity to meet new photographers and to explore the area. My family and I just moved down here from Wyoming, and I have no idea where to go to get some cool photos. I can’t wait!
I am trying to sign up for the walk, but having problem to do so . please help.

When I signed up it said there was one spot open, but then after I clicked join walk said I was on waiting list, can you tell me if I’m in or not?? Thanks
Sorry my list doesn’t click open — but please come along for the walk but understand if Kelby doesn’t have you registered — you can’t enter the photo contest.
Can’t wait for the walk tomorrow, first time attending a walk and im hoping to meet some new people.
Hi Richard,
I thought that photos for judging were due by October 7th?
as usual the kelby group is a little disorganized — I read the 7th on one page and the 10th on another -I would say upload until you can’t – I am waiting for an email instructing me to forward a local winner in to the big show
I think they extended the deadline to the 10th because of some issues with uploading images, they wanted to give everyone enough time to get images in. I find the Kelby group very organized.
