Photo Walk Description

Hi, Everyone! My name is Keven A. Oswalt and I’m leading the Saturday Photo Walk this year. I’ve been photographing since about 1995, and I’m the current VP of the Fort Wayne Photographers Club. I have a wide variety of subject matter I photograph and techniques that I use. I’m mostly digital these days, but still revert to film sometimes when the subject matter calls for it.

The route has been chosen! We will start at Baker Street Station (corner of Baker and Harrison–I got permission from security to park in Lincoln parking lot across from Station), head north on Harrison, turn left onto Jefferson, right onto Webster, right onto Washington, left onto Calhoun, left onto Wayne, right onto Webster, right onto Berry, right onto Calhoun, left onto Washington, right onto Harrison and end again at Baker Street Station. Along the way, “famous” landmarks we can work w/ are The Embassy Theatre, the courthouse, Lincoln Tower, Botanical Gardens (outside), Cindy’s Diner, a parking garage that has great view from up top, Power’s Hamburgers, Crack The Whip statue (at Lincoln), and Baker Street Station. This is the projected pattern, but we can leave some flexibility w/in that route, i.e. if someone wants to wander down an alley or something similar. According to www.timeanddate.com, sunset is around 7:23P, so we’ll be able to get great dusk to night light, which means bring your tripods!

There will also be a walk on Sunday morning, which is lead by Dan Gilreath (http://tinyurl.com/3gk37ao). We’ve chosen different times of the day so everyone can have an opportunity to capture different types of light. At this point, we would prefer that you choose either Saturday or Sunday for participation. However, if during the final week either day is not full, you are welcome to register/participate in both. As Scott Kelby says, “Just be a good egg and don’t sign up too early for a 2nd walk, so other people have a chance to participate.”

Please feel free to contact me at koswalt2@frontier.com if you have any questions. Please be sure to include “Photo Walk” in the subject line!
