I would like to invite all PHOTOGRAPHERS (professionals, amateurs, enthusiasts, with big or small cameras) to this unique experience that is Photowalk in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Ou route will start in front of the Museum of Discovery and Science (SW 2nd St. – Downtown Fort Lauderdale) on SATURDAY – October 1st at 9:30 am. This is a historical area with many different oportunities to capture some amazing images.
Just in case you don’t know what photowalk is…
Photowalking is the act of walking with a camera for the main purpose of taking pictures of things you may find interesting. (See Wikipedia: Photowalking). It’s really just a way to get out, take some photos of things you find interesting along the way and then share them with others that share your passion. No critiques, just mutual inspiration and maybe at the end, a little coffee, beer, snack, lunch… you name it.
I am already counting with the presence of few professional photographers from Fort Lauderdale, Miami and Palm Beaches. So… If you are an amateur, you might learn few good tricks. And if you are a Professional… there will probably be photographers of differing skill levels and you might be able to learn something, teach something, or just make some new friends.
In conjunction with the walk, I have set up a Fort Lauderdale Photowalk Flickr Group to upload images and discuss the walk.
So if you are interested, let me know… and lets have some fun together. The more, the merrier.

Definitely interested in future walks, however I am on shift at the fire dept.
You might find another walk on Sunday. Give it a try.

Hi Jeanine, I was born in Germany -Memmingen, would like to know if you are an amateur like me and what camera equipment do you use….I use a SLR Nikon w/Nikon lenses.

Jeanine, where in Germany are you from? I will be in Germany at the end of this month for 4 days. I will be in and around Stuttgart and plan to do some shooting in that area (my family is from that area a few generations back).
I will be joining the walk if Miami doesn’t have one…..in any event it should be nice to exchange photography ideas ( is never too late to learn something ) with different people and even have local meetings throughout the year as an interesting social/hobby activity.
Eduardo… I’m sure Miami is having a Photowalk too. In case you sign in with another city, please come back here and take you name out of this list.
I’d love to participate. I’m just an amateur photographer but love to get some experience.

Hi David, Joe Paul will be there taking care of Saturdays Walk for me. I’m still the Registered Leader and responsible for answering questions and choosing the winner of each group (there is no way to change that). After the event, every photographer need to upload their best picture (I’m not sure if is just one or two pictures). In few days I will select the best image from that group to run against the rest of the world.
