Photo Walk Description
Note: The Official Worldwide Photo Walk Date is July 24th, 2010
We will walk around the downtown area as well the new Skateboard Park, the Harvest Lodge, the Fine Arts Centre and the RCMP Museum . If time permits we may walk around the EE Oliver and STM Playgrounds. We will meet at Pizza Haven for lunch (Dutch Treat) to look at our photos and to discuss the walk.
Is there any chance we can go down to Dunvegan?

Sorry, no to Dunvegan at this time.
This walk is designed to draw attention to the community and is a social event as much as it is a photography event.
Last year we walked around the golf course instead of downtown as we only have 5 walkers.. This year I am hoping to have many more walkers and by walking the downtown area it will be easier for people to go to Pizza Haven for lunch after the walk rather than have to drive back from Dunvegan and meet for lunch.
The Fairview Camera Club meets once a month on the 1st Wednesday for a regular meeting and the 2nd Saturday for a photowalk. As a club we have walked at Dunvegan and it is certainly a location we can look at again for the fall. Hopefully, Diane, we can convince you to come out to the Camera Club meetings in the fall! It is free!

I just happened to be looking at the map of wordwide photowalks and was quite surprised to see Fairview listed — I grew up there! I would’ve loved it if there was a camera club when I was living there.
