About This Walk

THANK YOU to everyone who joined us this year! One of my highlights each year is seeing what you all capture, and there were some really great images made during our walk. Congratulations to John Biondo, whose photo (below) was selected as the winner for this event.

You’re invited to come along as we capture the sunrise over the Indian River Lagoon, then set out to explore historic downtown Fort Pierce, Florida. From the scenery and sunrise to architecture and its traditional Saturday morning Farmer’s Market, there will be plenty of interesting images just waiting to be made.

According to, sunrise on October 7 is 7:17 a.m. We’ll meet prior to that to find the perfect spot and set up shop. This will also give old friends a chance to catch up and new ones the opportunity to introduce themselves. We will linger about this area through the sunrise — so, if you can’t join us right at 6:30 a.m., you’ll still have a chance to catch us before we walk!

Above is our group photo from the 2015 Worldwide Photo Walk.

On our walk, you’ll notice some interesting public art, historic buildings and a lot of what gives this area its personality.

As for me, this will be the 7th year I’ve been fortunate to lead a walk in this event. I’ve enjoyed being a part of it and hope that you do,ee too. Much of my professional career has involved content creation in one form or another. I’ve worked as a photojournalist, video producer, graphic designer and currently as a marketing content specialist. I invite you to visit my website to learn more about me and see some of my work.

Stay tuned to this page for walk updates, and please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you!

Sure, you could sleep in. But you’d miss out on all the fun! Whattayasay? Will you be there?

And the winner is…October 18th, 2017

This was the eighth walk I’ve gotten to lead during this event, and one of the highlights for me each year is seeing what all of you come up with. I mean, think about it for a moment. We’re all in the same place at the same time, and yet each of our images can feel so unique. Sometimes I’ll see something someone has photographed and wonder “Where was I? I certainly didn’t see THAT!”

Thanks again to those of you who entered the competition this year. It was a tough decision, as we had some really good entries, but I hope you’ll join me in congratulating JOHN BIONDO!

If you haven’t seen his photo, I’ve added it to our walk’s “About This Walk” description.

Thanks again everyone for another great Worldwide Photowalk! Take care!

THANK YOUOctober 7th, 2017

Thank you all for being a part of today’s photo walk. This was the 10th anniversary for this event, and I can’t say “thank you” enough to all of you who attended. One thing I did forget to mention until the end of the walk: I have created a Flickr group where we can all share images from today’s walk, if you wish to.

Our event page is where you will add your image for competition. But you’re invited to share anything and everything else in our Flickr group.

Here’s a link:

Thanks again! Have a great weekend!

Our Photowalk is TODAY!October 7th, 2017

Happy Worldwide Photowalk Day, everyone! I can’t wait to see you in just a little while for our walk. If you need to get a hold of me this morning, my phone is 772.332.7667.

Thank you!

Happy Worldwide Photowalk Eve!October 6th, 2017

Good morning and Happy Friday! Can you believe the photo walk is almost here?

I’m happy to say that I feel better about our weather forecast now than I did a couple of days ago. I think we’ll be OK weather-wise, but will continue to watch that just in case.

What should you do today? Well, make sure your batteries are charged, your memory cards have plenty of space and your cameras are otherwise ready to go!

What else should I bring?
The “how much gear” question comes up each year. My thoughts are: Bring only what you’re comfortable carrying on the walk. I’d also suggest bringing a bottle of water. And, of course, dress comfortably. Other than that, just come out and have get ready to have some fun!

Oh, and we still do have some spots available on our walk. If you know anyone who’d like to join us, please spread the word!

Thanks again everyone! See you tomorrow!

But… the weather?October 4th, 2017

Hello photo walkers! Ok, so the current weekend weather forecast is not ideal. I’ll continue to keep an eye on it (and I encourage you to do the same) and will post additional updates as we get closer to the walk. Thank you!

Our post-walk breakfastOctober 4th, 2017

Hi everyone! Thanks again for signing up for this year’s walk. Just wanted to let you know that after the walk, at approximately 9-ish a.m., we’ll head over to Importico’s Bakery Cafe for breakfast if anyone is interested. Importico’s is located at 134 S Indian River Drive. If you’re not familiar with them, you can learn more at See y’all Saturday!

Two weeks!September 23rd, 2017

Good morning, photo walkers! This walk will take place in two weeks – can you believe it? I certainly hope everyone is doing well following Hurricane Irma, and I hope you all are still looking forward to this walk. Now that we’re getting closer, I’ll begin to periodically send out updates related to the walk. If any of you have any questions, please let me know and I’ll address those as well. You should be able to message me through our walk page, but feel free to also reach out to my personal email:

Thank you! Have a great Saturday!
