• Tomorrow's Photowalk

  Hi All,
  A quick update on tomorrow’s walk. Should save me having to go over this tomorrow and allow us more time to “take it easy, taking photos”.

  First and foremost, be safe! When taking photos, or going from one location to the next, be aware of your surroundings, traffic, people, etc.

  Parking shouldn’t be a problem, at the Browning Drive side, of the Peace Bridge. After the event, if anyone needs a lift, let me know and I’ll see what I can organise.
  It’s Irish weather so bring a raincoat and sunblock!

  After the event, walkers can upload their photo’s to the official worldwide photowalk Flickr group –
  http://www.flickr.com/groups/wwpw4
  I’ve also set up a flickr group specifically for our local walk –
  http://www.flickr.com/groups/derrypw2011/
  This flickr group is by invitation only, so let me know your email or flickr details, so I can send you an invite.

  Once you’ve decided, which of your photographs you like best, upload it to our local photowalk page (not flickr group), by midnight October 6th, in order that I can choose a winner to receive Scott Kelby’s “Light It, Shoot It, Retouch It” book. The chosen photo will also go forward to the next round to be in with a chance of winning some seriously good prizes.
  By the way, there’s no requirement to enter the competition or to submit photographs, but if you’re not in you’ll not win.

  On the day, feel free to ask questions, I might even be able to answer them!

• Culmore Rowing Club

  Culmore rowing club will be rowing, up to the Peace Bridge, on the morning of the 1st October 2011. It is anticipated that they will arrive around 11am.

• Further walk details

  Plan is to start at Peace Bridge entrance, Browning Drive and make our way over to the Guildhall. We’ll then take a walk around the City Walls and finally meet at the City Hotel.
