Photo Walk Description

Starting in the Cathedral Quarter at Derby Cathedral in Irongate, we will walk along St Mary’s Gate to Friargate. Then to Vernon Street, South Street up some steps then pass a disused warehouse. On to Curzon Street, Newland Street, Becket Street, Wardwick, Strand, Strand Arcade, Sadler Gate, Irongate to Witherspoon’s in Irongate near to the Cathedral. The majority of the walk is an paved areas, there is a small section where there will be a choice to walk on a path or on a track adjacent to a derelict warehouse. We will have the opportunity to photograph many features, people and historic buildings along the chosen route.

I am a member of a local photographic club and am a Licentiate of the Royal Photographic Society.

A great day out, so thanks for organising the walk. I just can’t wait to see what the others make of the area I know so well.
