Photo Walk Description

Note: The Official Worldwide Photo Walk Date is July 24th, 2010

This is my third year leading a Photo Walk. You can find more information about me at my website at http://mansurovs.com

Everyone meet on the stairs on the west side of the state capitol at 4:00 PM. From there will spend some time shooting around the capitol and Civic Center Park before wandering toward Lodo on 16th St Mall. Those not wanting to walk the whole mall may grab a shuttle and skip the mall southeast of Arapahoe. There will be numerous opportunities for shots along 16th Street and feel free to branch off on any side streets if you see or know of anything interesting. Larimer Square, Writer Square, the clock tower, Wazee & Blake St to name a few. From there we will head to the South Platte River area, including Confluence Park, City of Cuernavaca Park, and Commons Park. You may wander as far as the aquarium if you like. Sunset will be at 8:20 PM. We will shoot through twilight which will last until 8:51 and then hit a Restaurant for a late dinner. Those of you wishing to stay for dinner are more than welcome. We will enjoy some food, beer and share some of our shots with each other.

Do we sign up on this page or is there another site to sign up on?

    Thanks

  2. Hello Nasim,

Might I recommend Lola’s at west 16th and Boulder streets for your restaurant? If only because your better-half must see if it lives up to her name and culinary expectations! It is just up from the Highlands Pedestrian Bridge (only about two blocks west of Commons park where you’ll end your walk) or just a touch further is the Squeaky Bean at 33rd and Tejon, small but great creative dishes! (Ok I’ll stop there, And no I work for neither!)

    All the best,
    Lincoln Phillips

p.s. My walk is still empty? Maybe I should join yours!

    • Nasim Mansurov says:

Lincoln, I have just noticed your message on the site, sorry about that!

We ended up going to the Wynkoop Brewery, which turned out to be very nice, but a little loud :) I will definitely check out Lola’s when I’m in Downtown, sounds like a place worth checking out!

  3. Alex Blinder says:

    Nasim,

Thank you so much for leading the walk yesterday. I had a blast.

Quick question: I know there’s a Flickrs group for everyone who participated worldwide. Will you create a Flickr group just for our Denver walk so we can share images?

    Thanks.

    ~Alex

  4. Alex Blinder says:

Thank you for creating the Flickr group. Yes, only one image is allowed this time. I had no problems uploading.

    Thanks.

    ~Alex.

  5. Anthony Nguyen says:

Darn, missed the deadline, thought it was midnight, but I think it noon was the deadline. oops…

  6. Kristin Villano says:

Did the deadline change again? I am so confused.

Also, are we going to get to see all the photos submitted like last year?

    Thanks!
