Photo Walk Description
This year I wanted to offer something unique and different for the Sarasota/Bradenton photo walk. We will be walking the historic Cortez Fishing Village. This is a working fishing village with a fish packing plant. The photo walk is a small geographic area with a wonderful amount of diversity for photographers. If you like bird photography, you’ll find herons, egrets, pelicans and more roosting near the docks. You’ll also find the picturesque seascape of North Sarasota Bay. In addition, the area has several wonderful fishing boats that have lots of character. You can also photograph details such as fishing nets, anchors, buoys and much more.
After the photo walk we’ll meet at the Star Fish Company Dockside Restaurant. I hope you can join me for a unique photo walk at a truly unique area.
Limited parking is available at Star Fish Company. Car pool with a photo buddy if possible.

Doug Sahlin is an author and photographer living in Venice, Florida. He is the author of five books about digital photography including Digital SLR Settings and Shortcuts for Dummies and Digital Nature and Landscape Photography for Dummies. I signed up today and I’m going to bring a friend. I didn’t think the spaces would fill up in less then 24 hrs but you never know. This one sounds interesting. I’m from Tampa and this would be my 3rd year doing this. See you tomorrow morning.

I have a question about the photos being submitted. I didn’t have this problem last year and I was told by a friend the photos can not be edited. Is this true or are we allow to edit them? I tried looking for this answer but didn’t find it. Thanks.
