Photo Walk Description

I’m Jeff Donald, the Executive Director of the Florida Center for Creative Photography and this is my fourth year leading PhotoWalks in the WWPW. As director of FCCP, I’ve lead nearly 1,000 PhotoWalks and Clearwater Beach is always one of my favorite locations to shoot at. I know we’ll have a great time and there will be amazing scenes to shoot. I’m looking forward to shooting will all of you and having a great after time sharing our successes after the PhotoWalk.

This PhotoWalk has a little bit for everyone. We start underneath the Pier 60 sign out by the road, not the Pier itself. We’ll head to the marina and shoot the many boats, reflections in the water and even wildlife (ranging from Herons, Gulls, Pelicans to Dolphins and more).

At the end of the marina we’ll stop at the famous Clearwater Bait House (great opps for HDR) and then head back towards the Pier to shoot the many street entertainers on the Pier. Opportunities of photography abound with entertainers breathing fire, gymnast and much more. We can also head out the Pier to take in the many craftsman and practice our Street Photography.

The sun sets around 7 PM and we’ll head towards the new Pier 60 Marina Hotel and their 10th floor bar. This will give us a unique view of the marina, North Beach and Pier 60 as the sunset. Bring a tripod because there will be great shots to be had during “Blue Hour” as the sky silently fades from blue to black and we celebrate our successes.

Join us for this unique sunset PhotoWalk that will keep everyone shooting with the constant opportunities that only a setting sun can bring.

  • Our PhotoWalk is full! It took just a little over a day and we’re at the magic 50. However, in my experience having lead 6 Photowalks in the past, about 20% of the group will drop out in the last 3 days.

If you have friends that want to walk with the group, please get them to join the waiting list now.

Thanks for signing up and I’m looking forward to shooting with all of you on the 13th.
