Photo Walk Description
Note: The Official Worldwide Photo Walk Date is July 24th, 2010
Hi Everyone – I am the owner of Keiser Photography just 20 miles east of Cincinnati in Historic Milford District. I started Keiser Photography in 1984 (good old film days) and we have enjoyed the transition to digital photography. We haven’t used any film since 1999 and we started out using Photoshop version 4 and have every update along the way. Over 26 years of photography and I still love what I do.
One of the things that everyone should know: “learning” something new is energizing and it doesn’t matter if you have been creating photographs for 1 year or 50 years, your passions can be “re-energized” by sharing a new experience with like minded people. Come on out and join us for a wonderful morning exploring the surroundings along the Ohio River.
I offered to lead this walk after noticing the other 2 Cincinnati walks were already filled and to offer an earlier option for those who love the morning light.
Early Birds Bonus: 6:45 am Meet to photograph the Great Ohio River Swim which starts at 7:30 am. Last year the swim brought in about 70 swimmers and could be an opportunity to capture some creative images of the event. Here is the link. http://www.cincytriathlon.com/River%20Swim.htm.
8:15 am : Official Start Time for Photowalkers. Friendship Park is one of the newer park in the Cincinnati area which winds along the Ohio River from Eastern Avenue to the Purple People Bridge at the serpentine wall.
We will have the oportunity to photograph early morning light which will enable the group to capture the architecture, design, and contrast of the park with the city background. You’ll find plantings, monuments, art and interesting architecture along our path. You’ll be free to explore, create, share, learn and make new friends. This is the day before a triathalon in the downtown area which means that there will probably be a lot of activity and opportunity.
As we end our “Walk” we will cross the Ohio River on the Purple People Bridge and we can enjoy some refreshments at the new Saxby’s Coffee at Newport on the Levee. I would invite everyone to make suggestions or ask any questions that will make this more enjoyable and entertaining.
Keith Keiser
