Photo Walk Description
We’ll meet on the steps of the Haddad River Front park, then proceed to some of the more classic downtwon historic streets and buildings! winding our way around til we end up at the Art Emporium for the finish!
Don’t forget- this is a SOCIAL photo event- and the whole idea is to have FUN and SHARE what we see with each other; so plan on making friends and although you don’t have to Stick together as a group once we get started- let’s make sure we have a “buddy” system and play it safe! It’s easy to get “tunnel vision” once you start shooting- so we need each other to watch each other’s back in downtown traffic and populated areas…
Kanawha County native Clayton Spangler is an award-winning photographer and certified photographic consultant. His images have been featured in Wonderful West Virginia, Paddler, and Southern Living magazines; advertising and marketing projects nationwide; and in the Professional Photographers of America’s traveling loan collection. Spangler is also a juried Tamarack artist, and his work is displayed regularly at the Art Emporium Gallery in Charleston, West Virginia.
In addition to landscape, nature, and fine art photography, Spangler shoots journalistic and environmental portraiture. He leads a series of workshops, which he developed, that teach photographers the principles of artistic composition, how photography can impact environmental issues, and digital workflow solutions.
Spangler’s is accredited as a Certified Professional Photographer by the Professional Photographers of America. He serves as a board member and information liaison for the Professional Photographers of West Virginia. His other professional affiliations include the National Association of Photoshop Professionals, the Society of Photo Finishing Engineers, and the Luminous Printers Guild.
Spangler is also a member of Fujifilm’s Talent Team. He has been awarded two Fujifilm Masterpiece Awards, as well as a Kodak Gallery Award, for photographic excellence. He is the owner of Photographic Design, a commercial photography business located in Charleston, West Virginia.

HI Bill- Just have Betty sign up using her email- I think it’s blocked if you try to do it with yours.
Ok, I got it done. Gets a bit confusing when her email and passwords are not on my computer. We’ll see you there.
I signed up yesterday but never received a confirmation email and am still on the waiting list. But my friend signed up yesterday about 20 minutes before I did and she received a confirmation email and her name was taken off the waiting list. Should I be concerned? I really want to attend this.

The Photowalk sign up is pretty automated- I can’t “See” who is actually signed up at the moment; but since the “confirmation” email is automated- have you checked your “spam” filter/folder on your emails? Maybe it came thru but was caught before it made it to your “in” box?
I understand that it is automated and yes I checked my spam/filter folder and still have not received one, that’s why I was wondering. I just clicked on the view attendee list and there are several names on there, as well as mine, which if I’m reading it correctly tends to indicate we are on a waiting list until our names have been processed. I was just wondering if anyone else was having the same problem with not receiving a confirmation email.

I know my name is on the list, but I never received a confirmation email and was wondering if that was going to be a problem. My friend Annette signed up for this too, right before I did and her name is not on the list and she also received a confirmation email after she signed up. I did not.
Samantha- Your name being on the list shows that you are in. They apparently went in and manually put you and your friends name onto the list- the automation didn’t work for some reason.

I aplologize for some of the confusion that’s been happening in regards to getting you all “Photowalk” information in a timely manor when something “odd” happens with the website automation- Unfortunately, The powers that be don’t have this website set up so that I can view attendee’s lists OR have an email that I can reach them at to ask questions- so I have been relying on my NAPP HQ contacts instead to find answers to your questions. I am SURE this is an oversight that the Scott Kelby Worldwide Photowalk people will and MUST adress!
Brad Moore has been in contact with me from the main office- I think all the major issues are now fixed!-YAY!

I am a walk leader here in San Diego, California. I have been trying to update my site but I be unable to to locate the Leader Dashboard link. Are you having similar issues?

NO- I can get to the “dashboard” just fine- but some of the “xtra’s” aren’t there- links to things that they say I’m supposed to have access to….
But I did figure out that it works better in “safari” or “firefox” browsers than Windows- unless you have teh latest IE Browser…

What’s this about the deadline already being closed? According to your e-mail and at the walk it should have just opened yesterday and we’d have until the 7th.
Chase-= YOu DO have until the seventh- I cut and pasted the”official” stuff before I read it- but it in 1200 on the 7th
There was a website glitch and a lot of people were getting a message that the deadline had passed or simply missing the upload box. I worked with support since I ended up getting both errors.
