Photo Walk Description
The Photo Walk begins at the historic Virginia Theatre in beautiful downtown Champaign, IL. It includes West Side Park (think flowers, trees, and people) as well as the Art Theater, the RKO Orpheum Theatre (now the Children’s Museum), the old train station, and several other buildings with interesting architecture, all centrally located. Champaign, a hub of art and culture, presents many photo-ops such as window fronts and reflections, streetlamps, etc. Outdoor dining abounds along the sidewalks and scenic alleyways making for great street photography (and dining). Join us for a leisurely stroll, great photos, friendship, food, and fun!
Joe Ethridge, a photographer from Charleston, IL, specializes in wedding, portraiture, and commercial photography. He also teaches Digital Photography at Lake Land College and offers photography workshops and individual tutoring. His photographic journey includes many photographic subjects and techniques, with street photography being a favorite.
