CONTEST RULES AND GUIDELINES:
1. Open to all Amateur and Professional Photographer regardless of camera used.
2. To be eligible to join the contest, one must be a registered walker in one of the groups lead by PCC in the Scott Kelby 4th Worldwide Photowalk.
3. Registration Fee is only P100. Contestants are allowed to submit a maximum of 2 entries per category.
4. There will be 4 main categories and 2 special categories.
The 4 main categories will be disclosed during the contest day.
Special Categories:
Maniniyot ko bai! – capture a Cebuano photographer in action.
Cebu ni bai! – capture the landmarks that are truly Cebuano
Criteria for Judging:
Relevance to the Theme – 50%
Technical Details – 50%
5. Entries to be submitted should be taken on the date and during the walk. (October 2, 2011)
6. Pit Stops assigned with the 4 Main Categories will be scattered through-out the walk route. In order to qualify for the contest, participants should be able to pass through ALL the Pit Stops. A picture of the Pit Stop will be required to validate this.
7. Entries shall be submitted as a 5R photo print properly labeled with category and placed in a sealed envelope with your full details (Name, Contact Number, Email Address). Photos of the pit stops shall be sent to pccchallenge@gmail.com. We will disqualify your printed entries, if no or lacking pit stop photos are sent. Printed entries should be submitted to Anjo’s Point Photography Studio at 933 Zomer Bldg. V. Rama Avenue Guadalupe Cebu City. Submitted photos should not appear in any social networking sites and photo sharing sites while the contest is in place.
8. Digital enhancement must be limited only to global adjustments.
9. Deadline for submission of entries will be on October 8, 2011 Saturday.
10. Judging of the Photo Contest will be on the week following the submission deadline.
11. The decision of the Board of Judges shall be FINAL and UNAPPEALABLE.
12. Announcement of winners will be on October 23, 2011. Winners will also be notified through text and email.
13. Board of Directors of Photographers Club of Cebu are disqualified from joining this contest.
14. Failure to comply to the above contest rules is grounds for automatic disqualification.
15. Photographers Club of Cebu and its officers assume no responsibility or liability for any damages, injuries, claims, causes of actions, or losses of any kind arising in whole or in part from this contest.
16. Photographer grants to Photographers Club of Cebu rights to exhibit the photos. Photographers retains the rights to their images.
CONTEST MECHANICS:
1. Participants should walk through the designated route of the Scott Kelby Photowalk.
2 Scattered throughout the route are 6 Pit Stops. The Theme/Category for the shoot are indicated in the Pit Stops. Participants must take a photo of the Pit Stop as evidence of passing through.
3. A Pit Stop is open only for a particular time. Below are Pit Stop locations and it’s Closing Times.
Pit Stop 1 – Magellan’s Cross CLOSE by 7:30am
Pit Stop 2 – Carbon Market CLOSE by 8:30am
Pit Stop 3 – Carbon Market CLOSE by 8:30am
Pit Stop 4 – Pasil CLOSE by 9:30am
Pit Stop 5 – Taboan CLOSE by 9:30am
Pit Stop 6 – Gaisano Metro CLOSE by 10:30am
When a Pit Stop is closed, you will not have the chance to take a picture of it and you will have an incomplete set of Pit Stop pictures which is a ground for automatic disqualification.
4. Finish Line will be at Plaza Independencia and will only be open until 11:30am. Each participant will have to sign up at the Finish Line before the closing time. Failure to reach the finish line by 11:30am means automatic disqualification.
5. Decision of the Board of Judges is Final and Unappealable.

7. Payment of the P100 registration fee will be collected on site on the day or you can pay in advance to any PCC BOD you know.

i was not able to get a picture of Pitstop 3 as the banner was taken as early as 8AM… does that mean, i’m disqualified?
i meant Pit Stop 4 sir, the one around the corner of Pasil

sir eric, i was there by 8AM then i asked some participants who were there, they showed me the category, then i proceeded to pit stop 5 which was the same as pit stop 4. does that mean i’m disqualified since i was not able to send a picture of pit stop 4 that was taken from my camera. anyway, will you post the winners for the amazing race here? thanks!
