Photo Walk Description

This is the 3rd year leading a Photo Walk in Cairo, I earned 3rd place for my group in people’s choice award 2009, and 1st place 2010… hopefully we want to keep this position this year, so calling all talented Egyptian photographers to join me again this year for a great photo-walk ISA.
This year we’re going back to the same route we took in 2009 – Al Moez street starting from Bab El-Fotouh to Bab Zeweila and back. (note: the map has some errors)

    Dear Cairo Photowalkers…

    First of all, please make sure you have all read the walk FAQs here: http://worldwidephotowalk.com/faq/

    We will meet at 2:00pm in front of Bab El Fotouh and start the walk at 2:30pm to give us enough time to take photos, the walk will continue till Maghreb (6:00pm), preferably bring water and light snacks with you (although you can buy at the location) and wear comfortable casual wear to help you throughout the walk.

    For tips on the walk itself, I suggest we focus on photographing the location environment (people, life…etc) more than the buildings themselves for the competition, each photographer will be able to submit one photo so focus on quality not quantity… if your new to this walk I suggest you get an extra battery for your camera, and use a zoom lens as it is easier to shoot people and activities from a far distance, and your shots will be natural.

    I prefer we all move in groups not less than 5 for safety reasons, so don’t wander off by yourself into side alleys or into buildings…

      Hi, Sure ISA we will meet in front of Bab Al Fotouh @ 3:00pm and I’ll explain the photowalk in detail for all new participants and I’ll be available throughout the photowalk for any help needed.
